This is my personal opinion

In small man or scenarios, the single target Mara absolutely slaps
In warband content, Mara's utility is very high, the damage is medium
Bankira - DoK RR8x
Bankyssa - Sorc RR8x
Bankrump - Choppa RR8x

Mara is a good dps class. Go for it!
Izual, Kyo, Notting, Innozenz <dirty chewbacca>
