It very easy to solve this problem, just to make HD affect on regen !

Most classes do not have a reliable way to access heal debuffs. On top of that it'd further buff the already problematic stealth classes as they have a baseline HD and the opportunity to get another one (WE more so than WH). Remove the Grimshimmer chest, Regen pocket and the most important thing, is to change back to faster GCD. Regen started to dominate after changing Gcd to 1.5s from 1.15s - Meaning you can do 6 abilities in 10 seconds. With 1.15s GCD it was 8 abilities in 10 seconds. Also the Narrative "Balance is not done based on 1v1" is not true, Balance is done with attitude " if there is negative aspect to soloplay its always a good thing "
This 20-25% slowing of the gameplay is main reason for Regen to dominate. Also every unique, hard hitting "OP" skills have been blanded/copy pasted and ofc best ones removed. Also 1 toughness negates 1 str/bal/int. In Aor 1 toughness negated 0.5str. Combat Formula also had Double Str contribution for "Special" Abilities, but your targets touhgness was also doubled against that special ability. I dont know why RoR would even change this to super simplified version

What issue does regen really cause you? Players shouldn't be forced into glass cannon warfare just because that's what you want.

Where did he say that he wants a glass cannon warfare ? It doesn't have to be a binary mess, sustain can reach a middle ground between passively unkillable and 3-shot everyone

Well not sure the devs having that in mind. But if you're right then it's really sad. because solo and small action is really usefull to the "all" for couples reasons :
- solo players run boxes, it buff keeps and help to start siege.
- Solo players can give clutch infos about the enemy warbands positions, so allied warbands can adapt and set up attacks or defenses.
- solo players can distract enemy warbands while allied warbands can get inc advantages or ambushes.
- solo players are pinata for warbands and gives free rps.
the only downside is, yeah, if you are alone and trying to reach your warband, well you can die to soloers casualy. That is the only bill to pay.
seriously, peoples saying "solo action can die, idgaf" to me sounds like they don't really understand the core dynamic of a RvR game.
Every fcking plays has their utility, and there is a solution for every povs. And this is why Daoc/Warhammer are fantastic games

im not sure if toughness working as intended. It is armor pen meta so any target seem squishy to me. I also dont think regen gears are really a thing.

There's nothing to solve. There's no "regen meta". It's the complete opposite of meta. HP per sec also is not a heal and is available to every class in the game. If you removed HP per sec from the game, you'd still lose to anti melee builds and cry about it because there are also absorbs, lifetaps, block/parry stacks, toughness stack, and passives. Focus on your build, not everyone else's.

What a terrible post. The game was a mess with the old GCD and there doesn't need to be more low-skill high damage spam. Regen gear isn't a problem.
