I'd say for a melee style WP in T1, you generally want to hit the mdps ---> tanks towards your own backlines (obviously tanks are normally a last priority, but often in T1 the backlines are hard to actually hit for a WP without help). Keep HoTs up on folks and use your melee combat to regenerate your RF. If someone gets towards half hp, use your Divine Assault which I believe you get at level 6 now. Level 8, you can start mixing in the burst heal that doesn't use up your RF (which in my experience is almost always running low faster than stamina) every 5-10 seconds. After that, it becomes a game of balancing your stamina bar and your Righteous Fury. If you try to hit their backlines, you're going to receive a lot of cc and kiting, so that's something that you should think about before leading the charge. Divine Assault if you can go all the way through is one of the best burst heals in T1 I think. Just make sure you're close to 100 RF before you start. To help address the issue of being kited, it can sometimes be beneficial to sit on a point and force someone to you. Even if it's a tank, in T1 you can often generate decent healing through your melee combat. It sets up kind of bad habits for playing melee healer in the future, but...

And don't forget to use detaunt well whenever you get that! Good detaunts in T1 along with good positioning (so you don't get overwhelmed) can make you extremely tanky. Especially if you're in the backlines, often the other healers and rdps will be higher priorities than the melee WP.

If you ever get even a few seconds of downtime, just recharge your RF. You want that topped off as often as possible. I can't remember what the ability is called, but you get it at like, level 1 or something.

And lastly if you figure out who on your team is doing the most work, keep an eye on them at all times. If you're stuck between healing two targets, it's better to keep the guy alive who is helping the team more!

(Probably mostly stuff that is common sense if you've played the game before. There isn't a lot of min/maxing gear in T1 from what I've seen.)
