pre level 16 RvR more fun than what comes after?

Controversial opinion, maybe, but I've been largely enjoying my time in the newbie BGs. Sure, most of the time it's horribly one-sided and one side quits since you can't win when outnumbered, and then it's boring AF just collecting boxes and waiting for the win condition to tick round.

But you do get the occasional decent scrap.

But get to level 16 and wtf is going on? Massive blobs versus massive blobs in a bit of a lag fest. I don't expect to be anywhere near useful at level 16, of course, but holy hell! is it worth grinding the levels in a zergfest?

What do we think? Fun as lowbies or does the game only get really good once you're out there getting pummeled by level 40s?

I think what works in T1 is that you don't have keeps and the focus is on BOs which are spread out. The way keeps are implemented in T4 RvR is anti-fun imo. They are simultaneously too hard to take and too hard to defend. If numbers are equal, you risk having organized defenders and you have no chance. On the other hand, if you want to defend and aren't in an organized WB you have no real way to get in the keep (not always, but enough that people just don't bother).

I play a lot and rarely find myself doing RvR unless it is a keep attack or defense. The endless running around with no purpose other than to smash heads against the other blob is not appealing. In T1 even running 1 box has some kind of function (in T4 you need a coordinated effort to run boxes or else the keep supply just gets reset).

t4 zones rarely have less than 48ppl each side
t1 zones rarely have more than 24ppl each side

I assure you, put 4 wbs each side on, say, Blighted isle - and t1 will lose all its charm.

Not a big fan of siege mechanics, but such is the way the game was originally designed

Ive said this almost 10 yrs but we definetely need middle tier even if for 16-39lvl and you cannot get lvl 40 without rr 45 because. rr45 can be effective in T4 with pve gear as well.

Lvl 16 should never be fighting on same battlefield with lvl 40's. We should return back to Under lvl 40 have 2-3 tactics so that will help with balance/power creep if new middle tier is added.

This is 100% true. 16 vs 40 is bad enough, but often times it’s 16vs80+
