The only adjustments the RoR developers make are "weakening things."
They don't give us any excitement.

Re: SW feedback 2026/7/23 Patch Nite
I don't think that's entirely fair to the devs
Don't get me wrong, this SW rework leaves many question marks on their ability to comprehend the class, it certainly isn't fair (in a balance sense) to SW's and they truly unjustly GUTTED the ST skirmish tree, completely threw out the baby with the bathwater which made many enjoyers of the class sad, rightfully so. Assault stance also got gutted and so on.
Having said that, Devs have done some good stuff in this patch as well.
For example nerfing Def We's and they recognized that small scale has a HUGE impact on how this game is percieved as well. Having tons of stealth classes ganking was toxic and detrimental to the game despite it having no impact on the main ''blob'' warband gameplay loop.
They made some adjustments due to feedback and so on, so the hope remains that in time, they will recognize some of these flaws and unfairness they themselves created, and fix accordingly. I can however understand that to some, quitting is the only option when they do not see any hope and got their playstyle ruined ( such as ST skirmish, fun hybrid specs etc).

Re: SW feedback 2026/7/23 Patch Nite
How'd they nerf def WEs? They nerfed SS, which was a finisher for burst/glass cannon builds. With that nerf they're actually forcing more WEs to go WB.. and regen works best with WB. Again nerfing stealth.. which a regen WE doesn't really rely upon anyway.
Re: SW feedback 2026/7/23 Patch Nite
The main nerf was to Sacrifices Rewarded, which was one of the reasons Def WE's were so potent since you could not go crit build against them without suffering that OP tactic. Now it is not a problem anymore.Nauht wrote: Mon Aug 10, 2026 7:00 amHow'd they nerf def WEs? They nerfed SS, which was a finisher for burst/glass cannon builds. Then they also recieved a nerf to Witch brew and kisses does less damage if they want to heal with it, when you combine that with the 30 second stealth duration, ''Def WE'' is noticeably weaker than they used to be, which is a good thing since the spec was abominable OP.

I think the Dev Team has done some great work with many of the class reworks all through the various cycles of each type. This is one of the reasons I was so stunned with what was done to SWs. It reflects a fundamental failure to understand the class, or hostility run amok. Regardless, the damage to the class is palpable.Farrul wrote: Mon Aug 10, 2026 5:42 am I don't think that's entirely fair to the devs![]()

Re: SW feedback 2026/7/23 Patch Nite
Bro, the SW rework was mostly made by the guy who plays melee only SW (in premade, usually), some BW friend, SH player and the guy who thinks that if some skill (flanking shot) deals a bit more damage than your base spam skill (spiral arrow) then its okay to call it "finisher" (and to hell with the fact that Eagle Eye, the bloody spammable ability of ST spec actually deals more damage than said "finisher").Orontes wrote: Mon Aug 10, 2026 6:04 pm I think the Dev Team has done some great work with many of the class reworks all through the various cycles of each type. It could be worse...probably. At least, the M2 is indeed useful and +15ft to healing debuff range is good too.

This particular game is unique in that players are, or were, expected to die. Often and repeatedly. That's what morales are for. That's why insta rez exists. Well we can't have people dying, so better nerf dps morales, and insta rez, because pressing a button is brain dead gameplay.
Fights that go on for too long is a sign of bad balance, and are boring. Morales are the solution to that problem.
Morales of all sorts, defensive and offensive, have been nerfed into the trash. Because pressing a button is again, brain dead gameplay.
Now we have this gigantic rolling ball of ****, because the main counter play to blob has not existed for 5+ years.
As a result you have to balance everything as if Morales don't exist, and if they do exist, they are overpowered. It is impossible to fix because they broke 1/3 of the game.
It is infuriating to play a hollow shell of a game, because people look at their useless KDA and get butthurt.
