That was probably the worst period for RvR indeed.

I got my first full sov on my chosen, but it was during COVID lockdown, can't and don't want to do that city log nowadays.

Plus, that was almost impossible to have a spot with some classes (engie, magus, WE, Wh...), some pickup pity wb were full of DPS.

Yeah, you needed max 1 Engi/Magus per WB due to how their AoE doesn't stack and only 1 WE/WH for ST group.

P.S.

I consider ranged patch a Failure, because it hasn't fixed 1st issue: Engi/Magus stacking.

The need to push yourself to obtain things has been lost, and now it's a one-dimensional game.
Hell no.

I'm glad they made the progression faster. I honestly think that they have found a very good middle ground regarding time to reward. Whether it is for renown gain or items. Seems fair and you have lots of options. Like you can get a very decent PVE set with dark promise set. It isn't BIS but it makes the life way more easy when having to face BIS players. That's how it should be for players that invest time into gear before they have the renown rank and crests to get end gear. You can decrease the gap to BIS players fast and still have progression.

So from my point of view they did everything right regarding rr progression and items. That's the least issue in this game. It is where it should be. Well done.

I can only agree with the previous posts.

It was horrible for Europeans to get those 3 AM cities.

There was nothing heroic in the RvR campaign.

The feeling of raiding the enemy city lost its feeling exactly like now because you didn't do it for the faction pride, only for the loot. Nobody wanted fair fights. Premate dodging was absolutely common, pug stomping got you better results. Forts got thrown and most people were happy about it (you know, a thrown fort means faster cities).

I'm all in for a RvR rework. In fact, an RvR rework is, in my opinion, the most important thing that has to be done in this game. But please, for the love of the grandfather, don't go back to the old system pre-unified currency.
