while it is clearly more "enjoyable" for most of the time it also favours the "farm casuals with ranged meta" they nearly never get queued against a melee/tank/healer combination they have to fear and therfore can flourish in SCAlubert wrote: Mon Aug 17, 2026 6:11 am I’ve always played SC primarily.
It’s always been the best content in the game. In SC, what matters is strategy (assists, tank punts, CC), not mindless AoE like in blob fights.
Of course, there are often people who go into SC with useless AoE builds, but not on the same scale as in ORVR.
Now, playing SC is a completely new experience. Sure, even now and then there might be a slight imbalance in an SC setup, but that’s rare.
Want to play with a friend in a tank-plus-DPS setup? No problem. SC will have a healer (or not—but then the opponents won’t have one either). Want to play DPS plus healer? No problem—SC will have tanks (or no one will have them).
As far as I’m concerned, the new matchmaking is, right after the “tank rework” and the “WS/INI changes,” the best change in the game. A positive change, of course.
while it feels that there is a "meta shift" its less of a real meta but more of how the "balancer" creatres groups
