Lots of ideas.

Put the RoR launcher in the same folder as WAR.exe.

Thank you, it gets a bit further but then "Authentication has failed...will now terminate"...or similar message, my login and p/w are correct ?

Authetication issues are server related, it can take some time.

Reboot your PC for good measure I guess.

I am having the same issue. No error messages but no Create character button and black text box to the right.

I have Directx 12 (Win 10) and cannot seem to try and download Directx9 from wargrimnirs link on Page 2. RoR is in with WAR.exe and Read-only cannot be permanently un-ticked.

Noticed that your borders look like Win10. You might not have DirectX 9 installed. Is that a relatively new PC? Win10 doesn't come with it, and only older games at this point would include it in the installer.

I have Windows 10, also i dont know if i have any DirectX version installed, but i tried to install the one you linked and it said i needed older versions of windows to install it, then it did nothing.

Let me know if that works, I didn't realize the vanilla DX9 was an issue with Win10. All new problems.
