Champions Challenge Issue

I've had this happen more times than I think can be attributed to Server lag or "**** happens"

I am literally on top of a target (mind you I play in the US so I make sure I am snuggled up nice and close to the target before I fire the ability), I pop M1 Champs Challenge, and the electric fence pops out, I'm rooted for 10 seconds, but my target leisurely runs away.

I have noticed that this happens mainly on Slayers most often, but has occurred with one White Lion in particular at least 4 times, as well as WPs.

Any other tank experiencing this?

I'd say that Champs Challenge is at about a 95% working for me right now. Is there some immunity I am unaware of? Or is it simply and 100% my ping to the server causing this issue?

If they're immune to being rooted/snared (hello Slayers), you will root yourself in place meanwhile they will freely run away.

Is that intended? because This one doesn't seem to pounce out, just runs away.

Likely your target is immune. Champ challenge should be greyed out when this is the case but judging by what you have said its not and would also explain why certain noobs like to call ppl cheaters when they cannot CC someone with focus mind up. Also wl's shouldnt be able to pounce out of champ challenge or roots for that matter, maybe break loose and other remove snare/root skills allow you to walk out of champ challenge ?

Ya, it does grey out at times, but I'm thinking it's more likely my ping. The target hits immunity and before my client registers his immunity it fires off. I was just confused because if it's not greyed out, it should root them.

Come to think of it, I have had it fire off, root me, not root the target, build the fence even, and yet not spend the morale points on it, allowing me to fire it again within seconds, once unsnared myself.

It's likely Focus Mind, or someone with root immunity timer.

Or even just a the ability bug where you use your ability and people aren't effected. Happens a lot, even with heals.

I live in the States as well. Strike two for me is my main is a Marauder. I feel your pain, lol. The suggestions I got from forums were great, unfortunately, none worked. The most interesting suggestion: get a VPN that servers physically, locally close to the emulator server. I've searched but not yet found a guaranteed way to get that accomplished.

I played Mara on Live, but I was priviliged to only be half a country away, in a country with pretty good fiber. That's changed a bit now, and pretty much the only way for me to register an ability or AA is if the enemy is standing still. Not sure exactly what my ping is. The game feels like livel unti I try to hit a moving target, many times even with Charge. I love my Main, but I'm seriously considering leveling an rdps. My 'second' on Live was my Magus and I've been playing level 'catch up' with my GF due to much work over Summer and no time really to level alts. I'm reconsidering who wears the "Main" title currently in my little family.

why can people even be immune to morale roots like chaps chall? that shouldn't be allowed right?
