The old game was changed for RR100 and related gear. RoR will be returning to RR80 as level cap, so old gear may return to it's RR80 era stats. Or maybe not, it's a discussion to have.

Right, and those are the things that can be corrected as they come up. Is there any gear currently that has ballistic/str for bright wizard?

not yet, that customization was mostly with the high rr sets, like warlord, invader, and old sovereign was the utter crap.
