Hello,

With the incoming implementation of renown points, there will be access to Trivial Blows which is a game breaking RR ability imho. It was out of control on live and it’ll be out of control here too. The reduction of such a huge amount of critical damage will completely destroy the viability of exactly those classes which are already weak in terms of group pvp while it will increase the effectiveness of the top tier classes even more. Proper group fights will become endless due to a retarded TTK while it weakens the “casuals” at the same time. You can’t except everyone to play on point or with the most fotm 2/2/2 setup i.e. double slayer/double mrd, that’s just lame. Exactly those groups can already ignore like 65-70% of the casual player dmg and just face tank triple their number. With TB that situation will become even worse and it will totally destroy the fun of those players which already have a hard time against premades… the game will become incredible modest for premades and the need for a good group synergize will sink drastically since you can just face tank everyone and their mother.

It will also force everyone to spend 45 renown points just because there is nothing else which is comparable when it comes to effectiveness in PvP. That won’t create a lot of space for any other renown ability and would turn the whole system into a one way street.

I and I are sure a lot of other ppl too would love you guys for removing that BS or turn it into something different. I’d love to see some more flexibility when it comes to renown abilities and the system as it is, is pretty cool if it wouldn’t force you to spend more than 50% of the whole renown points we’ll ever get here for something which is game breaking.

Do the math and see how much dmg TB will take out of the game.

Before TB:
1k non crit
1,5k crit w/o any modifier
2k with 50% modifier

After TB:
W/o modifier it will end in 1250 (16,67% reduction)
With modifier it will end in 1500. That’s already 25% (!!!) dmg reduction which is totally nonsense and definitely not needed in a game with a insanely strong guard system.

A sorc/bw with 100% crit dmg will end up loosing 30% dmg (2500 before and 1750 after TB). That's so huge

Just remove it and create the room for the “cool” renown skills such as the activations and don’t kill 80% of the dps classes ig by implementing TB. I’d like to see everyone playing with specific renown points they like and not with the fotm bs everyone has to get.

The game needs TB, maybe not 50% but it does needs to be put ingame. BW'S and fester sw's will :| everything in higher ranks.

i liked the old renown system better it was just stat defens and crit lol and the one that made flee CD less but some like to run away

no the game doesnt need it since it will never go back to the stage where you had wf + df. bw's won't do jack **** against any formed group in t4 cause they get single handed outplayed by any half brained dok and a non retarded mpds. bw's and sorc were completely **** in t4 against organized groups and not able to contest the 2 top tier classes. at the same time you name FA what makes me smile... it needs a lot of preperation to set that up and a lot of room. if your group decides to leave that space open and dont pressure the sw you probably deserve to die.

creating a 45 point RA for 1 skill which needs m2 and a long cd buff is braindead. sw do have a hard time against melees and it will get worse with tb!

+1 on not implementing TB. T4 at rr80 was fine without it because more classes were viable. TB and higher physical mitigation was a reason why many people (myself included) rerolled to top tier classes. It's not needed if we won't have rr81+ and LotD gear. We'll still have cleanse against BWs/Sorcs.

Actually its the pugs which need it. Because on my survival specced toon with top gear I will survive the BW rotation even without TB.

From other hand, for randoms at higher lvls without TB it becomes "xxBWxx presses 1-2-3-4-5, xxrandomgimpxx dies". Repeat once every 10 sec (BW/sorc rotation).

Unless this post is actually about you playing BW/sorc and wanting to faceroll pugs in scs faster.

didnt have those problems @live. let tanks make the difference in the battlefield because dps-classes and healers sure do. dmg needs something like two stats (bal/int/str + crits) to counter that you need toughness, wounds, armor, resistances, blocking if possible and some initiative / crit reduction.

more dmg and surviving is about crits more it is about luck.

OK, then what about the classes without +crit dmg modifiers? They should just get tossed aside? That's poor balancing.
