i actualy tryed to download the latest one and allready have sience i run a windows 8.1, maybe it's the windows?

Windows 8 by default does not come with DirectX 9.0c, which is what WAR requires. Unless you've installed another game that requires DirectX 9.0c, you'll need to download it separately. Players on Win7, or who have had WAR installed originally would not have this issue.

I still can't change from write only on my Folder. When I do, the box gets unchecked from write only but when I go back and check properties on the folder the checkbox is marked again. Im getting crazy over this... God damn, maybe its not meant to be that I should play this awesome game once again =/

Unchecking from the folder should apply to any files it is able to unmark as read-only. The folder itself doesn't matter so much, just the files. Check war.exe and data.myp themselves.

Also, if the files are in-use for some reason, they will not be applied. So make sure the game isn't open or the process is running in the background. This includes any file archiver you were using for it and your torrent client that may be using the files.

Wow!! I got it to work! Strangley enough I found some hidden idea from you MR! Thank you very Much!

The one thing that made my client find the server or make the authentication bit was that program; Hotshield VPN.

Man Im so happy I can start playing this awesome game again. Thanks alot
