How many people would actually have the time to do that, though? I believe most of the players would stick with just one side.Azuzu wrote:Good idea, one of the best I've heard, but people would just power level characters to get their accounts to have huge bonuses. especially if it effects gold.Penril wrote:How about this: The more characters you have from the same faction at a certain level , the more bonuses you get.
Marvel Heroes has a similar system, where you get like +5% Xp account bonus for every character you have at level 60, up to a max of +200% i think. In RoR it could be something like this:
- 3 characters at max level (26 atm) on same faction: +50% Inf/renown/XP/gold for any character of that faction you have on that account.
- 6 characters at max level: +100%
- 9 characters at max level: +150%
- 12 characters at max level: +200%
These bonuses would only apply to the faction of the characters you have at that level. So if i have 6 order characters at level 26, i get a +50% bonus on everything applied to all my ORDER characters in that account, but not to destro.
Would this be incentive enough to stay on one faction? Will suck for x-realmers like me who like to fight the zerg. But if AAO is implemented it would compensate for it.
I just started playing here and I already have 3 max level character. It takes about a day to hit 26.
If you wanted to be a min/max'er about it, you would have a Destro account with 12 characters and an Order account with 12.
Or maybe give the bonus based on renown and not max level.
- 3 characters at RR30
- 6 at RR30
etc.

And you can still play them all. Just that sticking with one faction will give you bonuses. If you just swap factions looking for a zerg to fight, AAO should compensate for it anyway.Coryphaus wrote:dam 1 bad day and suddenly everyone here hates "xrelming"?

Re: X realming and why people do it...
Friday 16:30 order zerg take empty keeps, sc not popping
X realmers dont want log and defend only want easy xp/rr/gear
This is unplayable
If we will not support defenders never will change 1 side zerg problem.
Maybe t3 will open and we get new lvl/rr removes the problem or not:)

Maybe take the gold reward out, just Inf/Renown/Exp.Penril wrote:How many people would actually have the time to do that, though? In my opinion, 200% gold games would cause a lot of people to grind out 12 alts (most of which they won't intend to play).
I think having 200% gold would give that person a huge advantage. Most people will get the renown gear and inf stuff. Not everyone will have +19 or higher stat talis in all their gear, which gold will let you do. So I think it could possibly cause some power imbalance in favor of those who are willing to either take a lot of time to make alts or have friends who can powerlvl them.
Your right about AAO, one of the main reasons I X-realm is because I hate to zerg, but I love to clip the zerg and try to get fun fights.Penril wrote:And you can still play them all. With AAO, I'd be rewarded for switching realms to chase AAO, which is what I'd do.
If I had to play the dominate side all the time and PvE doors I wouldn't be playing.

Re: X realming and why people do it...
@Azuzu, what do you think about changing the bonuses to be based on RR instead of Max level?
Re: X realming and why people do it...
AAO yes but some X-realmer can swap to the AAO buff side so its not the better solution . Or the AAO should be really dynamic or this buff can be exploited.

They are doing pve to get as many scout medallions as possible which will be upgraded to soldier and spent on devestator I guessmirrorblade wrote:Friday 16:30 order zerg take empty keeps, sc not popping

A reasonable RvR system that could make the majority happy http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7

Good idea!Penril wrote:@Azuzu, what do you think about changing the bonuses to be based on RR instead of Max level?
I think it makes more sense, character level is too easy to powerlevel.
For example, our friend just started playing the game last night, we got him level 20 in about 2-ish hours. He will hit 26 today, with under 12 (possibly 10) hours played time. Now if you add scaling exp gains, making it even easier to power level, you could get 12 26s pretty fast.
The only problem I can see is Healer alts. RPs/Zealots healing out of party in SCs get HUGE amounts of renown.
I think basing it on renown would slow the process down. Because you would need to power level to 26 (or whatever max level is at the time) and get the renown up.
Edit: Another thought I just had, maybe add a requirement for each character to have a certain amount of played time. I think a combo of Renown Rank + Played Time would insure that the alts are really being played.
