BAck to WAR and happy

Hey ya'll just joined back up a couple of days ago and loving real PvP and a return to RvR.

Started back in Beta and was super sad when launch screwed up so much.
Forcing me to PvE and cutting about 75% of the leveling pvp gear squashed alot of the fun for me. I also rolled a Magus as main so...yea.
I left just around the 1 year mark.
Feeling my way around trying to find my class. I'm enjoying the game and the community.

Had a couple questions for you guys.

1. When PvP is on downtime, where can I go to level/grind on either side?
Sometimes I play in the mornings and I'm noticing that's not the busiest times. No scenarios popping and RvR is ghost town.
Just wanted something to keep my toons moving forward.

2. Is SM viable as tank? I see lots of back and forth so I thought I'd ask. I love playing tanks and healers and thought WAR was the only MMO to ever get it right (DAOC as well but never got that deep into it)
I like the idea of a dmg tank and remember how happy I was when BG was released for Destro hehe.

3. Is there any sites I should check out for more info? Saw the wiki but wasn't sure if it was up to date with the current game.

4. Saw a post and was wondering if the Metal CE jaw is coming back? Bought two of those back in the day and I miss it.

Outside of that look forward to us all killing each other. I have altitis like a mofo so any toon with Thrak/Thrack at the beginning is me. I play both sides so I'll be bouncing around.
