I ran my Chosen at the peak of War/Badlands with the guild Dogma and we were unstoppable in any Scenario and oRvR. This doesn't make me right/wrong. I'm just saying what I've been telling you before, that it is viable.
To something is viable is subjective but that none the less dosnt make it true

People can claim that for example a shitty ability like choppas Get To Da choppa! is viable but that dosnt mean it is.

It might work against pugs or low skilled/under geared players but vs better skilled opponents or geared players its no where near as good

Gods if your going to guard use a shield at least then you get block + parry to negate dmg and not just parry
Not sure if you're disagreeing or just letting me know.

Lots of things aren't optimal on this game but people still play them the way they want. Cancerous groups only play the fotm dps and tanks with the optimal build. What we need is diversity. Not to mention that corypherous guy is literaly wrong everytime he opens his mouth. You can literally disreguard everything he says... will be hard because he has something to say about everything.

I am amused

Please

Tell me where i was wrong or the many many times i was wrong

When people make threads like this asking for build suggestions i assume that they have never touched the class before, an i feel it is only fair to mention gimp abilities, and the ramifications of certain playstyles

You can have fun off classing in t2 and t3 but by the time you reach the end of t3 and defiantly by t4 you WILL see you effectiveness, and survieabilty fall off as dps hit you very hard without a shield and you dmg far out stripped by traditional dps classes

I should know because i too was like the op back on live as i played a "lore friendly" 2h blackguard but by the time i reached t4 i realized that i was rather squishy for a tank, my dmg wasnt that special and that i was nowhere near as useful as bgs who wen SnB furthermore any 6 man i tried to join implored me to run a shield

And its not like SnB bg cant dps, they can do it very well and full tank bg are almost unkillable espically with a few nice heals

Theirs a reason that end game is cookie cutter and its not "cancer" it is because that is simply what is best and optimal

this is a rvr game , there is no place for a tanky class to mdps , if u want to do that , go play a warrior in WOW , where you can play 2 different style with the same class and be as efficient :)

This is a -game-. Have fun.

TRY to have fun in such a way you help -others- have fun by, you know, winning, but don't let other people tell you what to do to make them happier.

When in a team situation, use that gear, tactics and playstyle. When easily winning or in a murder situation, swap to your favourite fun build.

Classes like slayer and choppa are basically built around guard
I was always curious who was the genius behind the "Tank is here to guard [mdps], healer is here to heal [mdps] and mdps is here to have the real fun!" Doubt we will ever know.

Give 2h BGs banish weakness please. Why even have the option for tanks to 2h if its pretty much moot.

Making Crimson Death actually do something interesting/unique would go a long way to the viability of a 2h BG. Trading your knockdown alone (not to mention anything else) for CD is just not worth it.
