Zone capture

Hi

Sorry if this info is readily available but since I cant find it im probaby dense or just lazy.

What exactly does it take to capture a T1 zone? Sure, all the BO's but that doesnt always seem to do the trick... Do you also need to kill a certain amount of enemies in the RvR lake or something like that?

You have to win a Nordenwatch scenario.

What does winning scenarios have to do with RvR lake captures? I fail to see the logic in that. But im sure your right and im not, cause i have no clue.

So first you cap all BO's in dwarf and then win Gates of Ekrund.... Or Nordenwatch or whatever. A SC win corresponding to the correct RvR lake.

That seems kinda laborious. But allright. If thats the name of the game....

to lock a zone in t1 you need a verian number of "victory points" you ear these points with locking all 3 bos, player kills and scenario wins

not shown, VP are actually apart of the board games and that is where they come from.
In the old game the points were never actually visible but there was a slider bar. VP system had changed dramatically from version to version, being much more complex near launch time and more simplified near the end of WAR's lifetime.
They were always intended (I think) to be 'mysterious' part of the game, and that was hotly debated on the forums. ie the points being represented in bulky sliders with no markings that indicated exactly where the locking points were. The default interface (addon-less) had no real way to make a accurate gauge of the VP. Introduce lag in the system too and then you are prone to reading VP values that are outdated.

IMO it's something to get looked at by the devs here. I hope that as RoR progresses we can see a big improvement in all of the things surrounding Zone locks and VP. There are also addons out there which can assist in viewing the VP points but I don't think any are working atm, but I could be wrong.
