Hi everyone! I just found out today that there was a private server for Age of Reckoning, but I wasn't quite sure what was done/whats it like/etc. I use to play the actual game when it was out and mostly played Destro (DoK and a Sorc). Personally, I really enjoyed the game as it was although was disappointed a lot of the tier3/tier4 areas weren't completely fleshed for any other faction but Empire/Chaos. But even so, the game was fun!
With that being said, how does this currently hold up? I have two friends who are actually interested in trying this out, but I didn't want to waste their time. I understand if theres things kind of wonky, but in comparison to how the game was before (when there was a subscription) how does this hold up? From what I remember, I spent most of my time at tier2 doing RvR since it appeared anything higher was largely vacant (I ran around the higher level zones but saw nobody in them).
Thanks everyone! I tried looking around for an about/information section in regards to the current status and wasn't able to find one, so hence me making a thread. Thanks again!
I just found this, had some questions

Re: I just found this, had some questions
Currently, we are able to play in all the T1/T2 zones. We can level up to 26 and reknown rank 40. The devs have been great about communicating with the public also. They usually respond within a day or two.

Re: I just found this, had some questions
Also the game is in a relatively good shape - many things (i.e. crafting, all core and mastery abilities, renown and influence system) work. The server is focused on RvR, thus all RvR lakes (zones) work as well. But expect some differences between RvR system there and the system which was used at original (live) servers. (Un)fortunately PvE is not a priority, so most Public Quests don't work properly (but they give influence points).
If you like playing scenarios you will be pleased - there are 6 available (Nordenwatch, Gates of Ekrund, Tor Anroc, Reikland Factory, High Pass Cementary, Mourkain Temple). Some of them are slightly adjusted (i.e. changed from the live versions).
/edit: Unfortunately there has been some problems with DDoS attacks lately. These problems usually appears as lag spikes in-game.

Re: I just found this, had some questions
Other than the lag, it's quite playable and a hell of a lot of fun. I'm surprised about your T4 statements. You must have got into T4 as the game was dead/dying. Sorry you missed it. My hopes are that this game will recreate that epic T4 experience, but with the tweaks to abilities and consumables that it needed during Live.StarbloodKiss wrote:Hi everyone! Like the rightful and correct return of the spammable, 360°AoE, 15 foot radius, Undefendable Chosen ability Rending Blade... Ah those were the days. Seeing every Chosen spinning like some heavily armored drunk ballerina putting up huge damage numbers in SCs, and still losing the SC. J/K
