Stuck at loading screen

Hey everyone.

First, i want to thank the great people that brought this gem back to life.

I downloaded RoR yesterday and have since then spend many hours trying to get the game to work.

I have been reading various threads and finally was able to launch the game and create a character, but now i have encountered a new problem wich is whenever i try to login a character, i get stuck at the loading screen(it does not freeze).
I have tried the /stuck enter /stuck etc to no avail ( it kicks me back to character select), I have also tried logging in different characters from both realms but to no avail.

Any solution or suggestion as to how i can overcome this issue is very much appreciated.

I have also tried the VPN option as suggested, but im still stuck at the loading screen. I also want to note that i have added RoR and WAR to my firewall exceptions.

Any suggestions please? :/

Also stuck on the nordland loading screen, tried making a new char and restarting the client

If you've never logged in, check the file properties of the different files in your WAR folder. War.exe and data.myp in particular are the ones that need the read-only flag removed. Or you can do it to the entire folder which will apply it to files that it can (the folder will still look the same).
