Why are watrior priests amazing healers?

WP and DoK desperately need a toggle mechanic, with all the concessions that were given to them for their intended role (plus more) moved onto it and out of the backline spec.

Both classes are fine currently without regen procs.

@OP: Someone who asks questions like this should refrain from calling any class broken.

I agree. WP/DoK are fine they are just very gear dependant to pull amazing heals. They gheals are usually very low but spammable. It cannot be sustained for very long unless you have great gear to counteract it.

broken in what sense? Ok, so some AM completely destroyed you in 1v1.

Guess what... 1v1... doesnt matter in WAR/RoR.

how about setting the book/chalise to gain resources from attacks instead of per/sec so they must be in the frontline to gain resources instead of passively get em?

I think if you simply removed tomes and chalices then that would be sufficient maybe?

That would kill them as they are VERY VERY gear dependant. They dont get good til T3 because of the need for gear to be able to sustain there gheals and gcleans

Its got medium armour but other then that its a class that does not shine til later on. Alot of issues with the class revolves around gear dependency and swapping specces with different gear regularly. A DoK/WP needs at least 2 sets for there class versus every other one

I think if u take into account they cannot cleanse ailments and snares only curses and hexs they arent broken

To gear dependency a a flaw of a class in a gear driven pvp is not legitimate downside in my books. Its irrelevent when DoKs and WPs "come online" as in t4 they are the best healers and its always DoK or WP + 1.

They have alot going for them that puts them above other healers including medium armor (once again if a class is just going to sit in the back lines and throw out heals then they shouldnt have stronger armor than other healers) and a complety seperate resource pool to draw from.

Lastly DoK m2 removes everything

Then that would make the caster heal spec useless.

to ask why the wp / dok are "good" healers regarding the other classes is like i would ask why is a jeep faster offroad then a formula 1 car... and somebody who try to make balance suggestion based on this kind of question is lost ^^
