Most players who don't really know what's going on always post the same s##+. Hackers taking over, Nerf Buttons wins fights etc etc.

well, I believe the developers are heading into the right direction :)

Then I have some simple ideas, as any ideas are welcome (feel free to flame);

I was thinking about making a system which encourages players to stick to their realm even if they might be on the less advantegous side. Apart from the obvious medals what would encourage them? Some sort of recognition for actually being on their realms side as much as possible maybe? What about some reward like becoming realm captains/officers, in a WAR council? With garbs etc. coming with it. If you play your realms side in rvr enough you will become part of the council, get some flashy outfit with maybe even some skills which can be triggered lets say every 1 hour (skills like the heros in city fights? maybe :) would for sure make the losing battle become more interesting).

Another thing could be guild claimed keeps. With upgrades and upkeep costs. The longer you hold the keep the better upgrades obviously. I mean, this would at least make the biggest guilds stick to their realm. Noone would want to take their own /alliances keep, would they? (maybe).

I believe in giving rewards you WILL have to stay active on one side to obtain. And maybe even specifically in underdog fights. Rewards which can be shown, as players love that. I also believe giving guilds better reasons to keep their members on their side would be good against the xrealming. Some thoughts. Im sure theres tonnes of better and more likely choices but at least Ill add something to rip apart at least :)

100% agree something along this lines would be worthwhile to try. I was thinking maybe BO's/Keeps would give your character a +1 rating (up to a max) which would have a slow decay on it (less than 24 hours total). For each BO/Keep you take you become recognized by your realm and rewarded with a small gains multiplier. Maybe keep the central zones neutral (DW/TM/Praag) so as to incentivize pushing your campaign/actively defending your zone(s).
There is a variety of such 'loyalty' type reward ideas floating around here from other players, as well.

thx

All good rewarding ideas. Unfortunately they don't actually stop xrealming in any way. They might deincentivise it, but the base premise of it remains. Follow the side that has the larger Zerg for easy rewards. Not trying to be a consummate downer. But that's the point. It's a tough issue to handle, even theoretically.

Indeed rewards. How about gives equal amount of reward on both wining and loosing sides? Looks like most common thing that one side switch side that there is a little reward when staying for loosing side.

Give loosing side the same amount of reward, and they will keep on fighting. This regards mostly for keep attack/defense and zone lock.

My proposal:
1. Gives both sides the same amount of reward in case of Keep attack/defense and zone lock. This will encourage both sides to keep fighting
2. Implement rvr timer. The longer your play for one side in RvR lake the more reward you get in the end (xp/inf/rr). Switching side and going to RvR lake (e.g. just before zone lock) will reward you little or nothing. This might be a little unfair for people how logged in without xrealming, but hey, why their should get any reward if they did nothing!
3. Give underdog side bigger buff (damage resistance/damage done) to equalize difference between sizes on both sides

The xrealm toned down some time ago but got back in full force once these keep lords were implemented as once again it has became a def festa, yesterday all my guild rerolled t1 cuz order just waited us to attack to wipe us and " we"had aao they didn't even roam around they just packed 2 wb inside the keep.
Keep lord need to do costant damages but a lot less in value, def too easy ppl know it and using it.

X-Realming is mostly done by a handful “friends”.

First: After hard obliteration of one faction, some people get pissed and log off.
So those are missing in the RvR lake completely.
Then a group of friends decides to relog on (example) order to farm destroy (maybe with the good intention to fight an evened out battle)
But also other orders want to get shinies and they are not aware, that Destrus are already reclogging on order.
So another batch of order toon is either logging on destru or into another Tier.

Now it could occur one out of 3 possibilities.

The fight will continue to like before and the losers get slaughtered again even with some X-Realmers.
The fight is now completely onesided the other way around
Or the fight would be even but neither side can take a keep because they are simply to few to survive the gate pve crap or the aoe fest at the keeplord.

And last but not least: X-Realming will never be shut down unless people grow themselfes some balls and stick to their toon (or are serious RP-Players who stick to their faction)

As far as mindset goes: I myself when I play a character, I have planned to play that one up and I have absolutely no interest into relogging onto other faction toons. Because I am thrilled with my “creation” and I want to max it. (Till I get burned out, or I feel like I have to play my other toon again) And that got nothing to do with winning or losing.

Edit: What happened to the Buff/Debuff system... it got implemented and I never got it a single time... :?: :?: :?:

dont forget about ppl change zones after few wipes at keep. or against premades. they change zone to ather. somwhere ppl taking keep and than u see masege in global chat destruction on inner. need help. and some warbands go help. in 1 minute in praag enemy have aao in next u have aao ( if ppl realy decide go help in ather zone) i dont call it xrealming.
or they just log off and go in real life do better things than feed premades.

I often find the attitude to be to gain as much RR as possible. I just rather crush my enemies instead and hear the lamentation of their woman. :/

Take a 15 min cooldown of RR gained when switching sides. No rewards whatsoever but they can participate. Going hardcore? Make it 30 min and the siege might be over already.

Two accounts will remain a possibility but alas, the amount fo people willing to do that will be alot less. And maybe IP adresses can help here. Just my two cents.
