Welcome back! We sure were in need of you :)

"A recent example has been Disrupt, both in terms of disrupting DoTs on tick and on application, and in terms of there existing a significant Renown investment in the wake of the removal of Cleansing Wind and Resolute Defense (a removal which I support, I might add) of Disrupt, for which there exists no counter stat within the Renown system. There may be other examples, but I would rather look towards reconciliation rather than further division by needlessly retreading previous issues"

I really hope to see changes which will bring back dps AMs and BW that can actully damage a healer again! Thank god!

Welcome back, and since you mentioned Moral gains and Disrupts, does this mean that morals will be reverting back to natural 36 M/s compared to current 9 M/s (which means 6min40sec to reach M4)?
Will the somewhat inquisitional witchhunt against magical damage dealers be halted and changes made so that even magic casters will be capable of taking down healers? :) (you can only look at so many disrupts in a row until you just switch game...)

I can only pray to all the 4 chaos gods that RvR starts feeling interesting again, so that there will be enough incentives to run guild warbands instead of current pug-afk-wipe-to-lord campaign. :P

Yes. I explicitly stated that Age of Reckoning Morale gain would be used and that I would most likely respond to Disrupt concerns by building strikethrough passives for the Renown system.

That's absolutely fine. Return of Reckoning cannot simultaneously be 1.4.8. and a modified version of the game, and there will always be people with their own preferences.
We don't pretend to have a clone of WAR but nor a circus. We had some very long changes like morales, WL's,SW's,engies, and stuff that could not be argued. We had an awful treatment by part of the staff, being almost insulted. We wanted respect at all, the same as a good amount of "players/testers" offered and we didn't recive. I'm sorry but for me and some others is too late. The damage is done and the staff reputation is kinda ruined by... 1 person maybe? I'm not trying to be offensive, but RoR has it time for people like me, and now I can't recognize this project like it was anymore. I hope this goes to the good direction and things becomes better, but there is a lot of work to do.

Anyways welcome back.
I could look up whatever reason was given, but I suspect it was more than an offhand comment about pig mounts. The guide we have for infractions is not set in stone, it's a guide for dealing with different types of behavior. Publishing a list of specific infractions with ban durations and the like would serve only to give people a measure to weigh their actions against. I hardly think that sort of information is necessary for the vast majority of players on the server, and would only provide real benefit for the people that we might not be interested in providing a service to anyway.
I think thats exactly the point of criticism many people have against the staff. With this "guideline" (which is basically a free pass for everything) public criticism can be punished by the staff without them being bound to some kind of ruleset. I brought up my particular case because it wasnt really much at all but still brought quite severe punishment.
If I get this post right thats exactly what you dont want to happen right? I know the staff works hard on this server and most people are extremeley thankful for your work. But having a culture of punishment without rule set for even minor stuff can have a bad influence in some cases. Its your server - do as you like :)
Still want pig mounts for dwarves.

I don't dispute it, and I knew long before I posted that it would likely be impossible to convince some people otherwise. Sometimes, enough is enough, and it is our failure that it has reached that point.

It is the opposite of a free pass. If something isn't in those guidelines, they're expected to get tacit approval from myself to handle a situation, and generally it gets added to those guidelines with the best process to respond. They are very much a restriction on the ability for GM's to do things out of order, along with the reporting process.

This server has lost some really good players that were NA times. As such NA has suffered greatly. I haven't played on RoR in a while, and have never played on Apoc. Apoc took your **** which wasn't right. Conversely though the antagonistic and mistreatment of the player base by some of the staff here has done considerable damage. Simple questions were asked by myself and others to which we got told to shut up by staff.

Respect is a two way street, I hope to see that here again so I can enjoy the game as I once did.
