I'd rather ask: What if... there were more than 1 zone open? Current mechanic is really cool, but it just forces players to go to single zone and fight there, which almost always results in warbands stacking up. And as far as i love the fact of multiple warbands clash, sometimes there are just too many people to get zone done. In that case it is handy manouver to move to other zone to at least start gathering resources or knocking on keep door, to divide some tension in population overloaded zone.

I do realize, that it would also make getting bag from lock easier, which a lot players would apprieciate but unfortunatelly some would abuse, and i am not sure if that isn't against DEVs idea of game.

However opening at least second zone could be good (1 per pairing would be awesome :D )
We already know this answer. One realm would zerg and take one zone, the other realm would zerg and take a different zone. Fights would be far less frequent as people tend to avoid each other.
No Argument against that! Wenn had that alrdy and it was just dodging The Enemy an empty keep fights
And thy all meet in the third zone,
This insistence that ALL players in t4 fight in just ONE spot is everything that WAR was built NOT TO DO!, Yet here we are doing it.

The fact is, the whole concept of everyone doing empty zones, is just false. And in my opinion, it is put forward by people who just dont want to play.
Playing WAR means having to think strategically, the t4 game was built for that. The current system has removed all need to think strategy. All under the false assumption that people will be fighting in empty zone. And I can prove it.

Suppose that Order ranks up one zone, Destro another. And no one flies to the enemy to fight. That is the current hypothesis behind the creation and implementation of the current system. The reality though is that people will go and fight.
1- Six man group and solo players (YES, we still exist) looking for AAO, will always flock to where the enemy is strongest. This is a fact that you can not deny.
2- Once you know the enemy is on a lord, with the current average time being 10 min to kill, you KNOW, people will fly to other zone to attack them while they are fighting the lord. This will in turn lead to giant 3 or 4 wb zergs to break up into multiple zones, which will allow for more equal fights. Not blobs of multiple wb's just riding around a zne playing the BO game for 2 hrs till a zone locks.

Just my opinion... but a well thought out one, that encompasses how people play! Not how I wish them to play!

yeah, all valid points
IMO they should try opening all zones for a trial period of some weeks to a month. The server is in Alpha stage, surely some experimentation with the T4 campaigns system can be done, without deciding for any permanent solution?

I will be honest.

I did not like resources, but the current system makes them work better than they did on live.
Also the current Lord strength allows fr a trial period of multiple zones being open.

Will you get someone trying to ninja a keep? Sure you will. They can try!!! But with Lord kills averaging 10 minutes, I dont think they will work.

The devs have actually created a system where multiple zones can be open, and it will be rare for anyone to ninja a keep.

EDIT:
And can you imagine it? You do take a keep, now you have to control resources and VP, while at the same time trying to stop enemy from locking another zone? I see the end of multi wb zergs!

Why would anyone go to a lower tier?

Why would anyone go to a lower tier? We all Power Level so at to get into t4. Going backward is, well, going backwards.
Different maps and different class balance.

Personally speaking there is nothing enticing for me in any of the lower tiers. Not saying you or anyone else can not enjoy them still, but they are boring to me.
