Re: [Sorceress/Bright Wizzard] Dark Magic / Combustion Backl
I dont think a healdebuff change in the mechanic wuld be a good idea. that would just encourage more kitey setups where a BW can spam at max dmg without any drawbacks. on the other hand, if you have a high backlash that can add up quite a bit to the burst of the enemies and help to take a target down more quickly. a heal debuff will still be outhealed by the sheer amount of power the healers have in warhammer in most cases.
just to get that into an example with made up numbers:
a 4k hp sorc has 2 WHs on her ass. they get her down to like 1k hp now.
she still spams her stuff around and gets a 1k backlash -> pamm dead = best solution to punish her risky gameplay.
other option with healdebuff
shes on 1k hp, can still freely cast her sh*t (and maybe kills a WH here) and the healdebuff gets still outhealed by a zealot/shamy power singleheal spam -> sorc will survive more likely = bad solution for a possible counterplay.
dunno, i rly think the scaling of the dmg should just be adjusted and not changed into something different.
a healdebuff may sound nice, but overall it just does not add up enough of a malus to a full stacked mechanic.

Sorry, but did you play 5 years sorc or BW in a party at high level ? Just a question hey

It wouldnt work like that the mechanic steps are at 60 and 100.Novgoroth wrote:With 50 combustion, you're not efficient, and you have 25% heal debuff ? Sorry but that's crazy ...
Another thing i forgot to mention as a bug: Dhar Wind crits on hit, and it shouldn't. It's a standard and fix damage.
So at 0-60 - no debuff
65-95 - 25%
100 - 50%
WH jumps you. Use meltdown or burnout and your debuff is gone. This just stops bw/sorc sitting at 100 and being healed through damage while still nuking.
Re: [Sorceress/Bright Wizzard] Dark Magic / Combustion Backl
Funny I only played bw as an alt and I seem to know more about their mechanic than all these bw/sorc that couldn't even tell how the mechanic worked as they took that much notice of it. The mechanic was broken thats why and all they did was get to 100 at quick as possible.Novgoroth wrote:Sorry, but did you play 5 years sorc or BW in a party at high level ? Just a question hey
Re: [Sorceress/Bright Wizzard] Dark Magic / Combustion Backl
No, i played 5 years almost every class in a party mostly at high level. It helps avoiding "tunnel vision".Novgoroth wrote:Sorry, but did you play 5 years sorc or BW in a party at high level ? Just a question hey
Re: [Sorceress/Bright Wizzard] Dark Magic / Combustion Backl
Burnout is already a instant cast and drops you out of the mechanic and doesnt do damage.Luth wrote:
Edit: Maybe it would be also good to make meltdown an instant cast and lower it's damage somewhat.
Meltdown would increase burst if it was instant.

Re: [Sorceress/Bright Wizzard] Dark Magic / Combustion Backl
Add a 50% heal debuff would change the whole class (skills, CD, cast ...) and it would not make them hurt less. If the Sorc/BW is far, he can hit easily without malus. The only thing it would change is how fast he will die, but they die already so fast ...
That's exactly what Nav was talking about : if the WH jumps, he puts a stun, and during stun the sorc can't use meltdown or burnout. BW/Sorc are really squishy, so they have all chances to die before they could use anything, even with a not good WH/WE.Telen wrote:WH jumps you. Use meltdown or burnout and your debuff is gone.
