Az has posted his reintroduction, his intent and responded directly to many of your comments. He's outlined what he's going to do- players demanding what and how he does it via this thread is not going to have an effect.

He can't roll back the clock, and he won't provide players with staff members heads. What we all need to do is be a part of the forward, positive progress of the server. Further publicizing personal negative opinions in this thread is less than helpful; there are only so many hours a day we can all spend on this hobby.

Let's try to find a way to contribute to it's betterment, instead of its bitterness.

I'm surprised it hasn't been and that some of you haven't been considering how much *intentional* "**** posting" some of you are doing. It's as if you're trying to see how far you can go before you get banned again.

I don't disagree on the ddos attacks. Agreed - will see if it's due to event.

All we can do is move forward with the plan of RoR Devs/GM/BMs/CMs and RoR players being more respectful to each other. Nobody has clean hands in this. Talking about past transgressions will not serve the community. An olive branch has been extended. It doesn't make everything ok, but it's a step in the right direction for the RoR community.

I'm looking forward to fairness, accountability and transparency.

Also, with Client Control being achieved. Who can I ask for an ingame Zaxxed emote?

Being one of those rattling the cages the most in the recent hours; speaking my mind in an inarguably harsh manner (my apologies for that),... I think it'd be quite helpful and actually healthy for the staff to openly speak their minds and address issues that they perceive (and which might have been ridiculed too much throughout the thread), too. Interpreting actions and attempts of 'mind reading' only get you so far ~

Keep in mind that issues, regardless of how trivial they might seem for you can ultimately be a fatal reality for someone else.

In regards to acknowledgement that was demanded since (it goes both ways, you see, you don't have to utter the words or furiously type them at work on your godforsaken tablet)... ultimately it'd be entirely futile at this very point in time - playerbase and staff speak diffrent languages, or are tone deaf in regards to another if you will, as I've said it countless of times before:

At the root of the issue are plain and simple communicational issues - if you do not walk the worlds of expression and reception in accordance to another you'll never meet, instead spent your time chasing schemes of your own imagination; your own interpretation.

I don't think that Aza should dare to try (it's an unforgiving task that takes its toll) and maintain the function of a mediator for too long ~ it is not sustainable longterm. Take it for what you will, a cliché or a chore, but having an entirely neutral space of expression (á la speaker corner in Hyde Park, London or a shrink's couch for that matter) would go a long way to even the odds, even if just temporarily.

Let that space be a subforum that everyone can post in, but in which every thread is a closed instance in and of itself (that alone might foster a culture of civil discourse, as it'd prompt and lastly require you to directly engage people without interference or the perceived need to distinguish yourself), and let the only two requirements be to state your intent in an act of self-remembrance rather than superficial self-awareness (e.g.: had a terrible day and really just want to vent about everything or a particular topic for the sole purpose of venting? Go ahead, unterstand that first and foremost, then continue on and make the devil shy away in the face of your profanity or sheer unadulterated fury), and to practice discretion (consider it a fight club of sorts, you know the rules, don't you?).
Furthermore, moderation to take the form of 'take it or leave it, drag it through the mud and see yourself out' enforced by general consensus... in the end everyone should be interested in maintaining the opportunity ~ if there were drama to ensue and conflicts to arise, you'd still, after all, have a chance yourself to stand your ground on even terms, or to simply consider it a game.
Personally, I don't mind embarressing myself with long utopian, twisted or just plain weird tirades like the above (or those in the past) ~ with or without dedicated venue, I'm having a blast (even if at times only in hindsight). :p

Turn communication within the realms of this project into something that's fun, again. Things will sort themselves out in turn and time.

You do not have to been banned in the past to be at odds with the general climate, fyi. Some of the people posting in this thread and voicing their opinions have yet to disrespect or insult the staff in any way, shape or form (whereby, naturally, intent and reception might heavily differ), or act in a deliberately harmful manner.

I suggest, post har red all ,in my small to copy/paste the aza first post and make a newsletter that will be sent to all mails, as these could be read as a first step into put the train back on the right rails by the most. At least the intention / the unbans can have more wiers and may bring back some hope back into the project for those who lost it.

The newsletter system is ...wonky. It trips up the server and typically goes straight into the spam folder. Not a bad idea at all, so long as the issues can be smoothed out.

Yes its voluntary project. But players coming and playing it also does it voluntary. Main goal should be of growing this community and project with it, yet if feel the goal was set to silence anyone daring to not agree on everything with permabans. Do you honestly believe project run like that have future?

Nobody was ever banned for feedback in order to silence them. Don't create a story to criticise bans. Only immature people who collected warnings and escalated temp bans like candy were finally banned permanently.
Some people just never learned how to make valuable feedback.

look to the ban appels, wargrimmir wrote many things why he is ban, because he ask many times with diffrent forum names.

Okay, from this point on I suggest you just provide ANY evidence of that, in the form of maybe quoting, screenshotting, linking or otherwise proving that statement. The first appeal clearly states the ban was without reason, completely random, and was lifted. The only thing wargrim wrote of relevance other than that, is that he would have let the ban stand if ANY reason was included with the ban. Now that in itself should set off some alarms for all the players on this server.

The second "appeal" was an attempt at finding out why the first ban happened, as again, there was no reason for it. From there the ban was restored by Yali on grounds of Hao being a troll. Again, this despite the fact he has had no forum activity for about 7 months or broken any rules in-game.

Now Yaliskah tried his best to give some form of reason for reapplying the ban, but the whole wall of text contained nothing relevant. But at the end of the day it's all irrelevant really, the first ninja ban already sealed the deal, who is gonna bother supporting a private server that permanently bans players out of nowhere with zero communication or reason of any sort.

Not exactly my business but Hao actually trolled in his own ban appeal thread. Come on, how immature is this?
