I'm ok with how things are, carrot for me is PvP living and dying. For others I can see the "want" for motivation.

Lot of really great ideas in here that at the very least could be seeds of something more.
Perhaps a mechanism that improves your extra specialty ranks for wearing a full set of Sov every 10 ranks. So at 90, if you wear full sov you get a +1 mastery, at 100 +2. Most classes don't currently wear full SoV for BiS, so it would interesting to see where that tipping point of choice comes in at.
Is there potential for insanity? Absolutely, but could be a fun experiment, and the level of commitment just to test it, would be astronomical. Anyone in this game who has RR100 deserves it by that point.
