Well in that case it could be an issue, but it is solvable. If you don't want to remote and run Visual Studio with the code on a remote server you could sync a Dropbox / Onedrive folder with each build. Ofc then you could not run debug mode but the source code could would not be "jeopardized".
I'm unsure how this would work , but you can configure Visual Studio to run debugging on another machine than the one you are working on, but it is not supported over internet (though I know we can get it working) but i guess we are looking at a huge bottleneck.
