Second, the people who will do it are essentially solo players, PUG players who do not weigh heavily in the progress of the campaign.
Third, why punish players who change faction for balancing, when the problem is elsewhere (often linked to a lack of involvement on the part of players of the dominated faction) ?
What I witnessed- WB barking on 4-5 ppl pushed to wc, and prefer to be killed from warcamp guardians the let this soloers play on rvr.

Re: Xrealm imbalance quick fix
i think its because many people play in small bubbles. There are people in 6 man guilds that never join organized warbands, those who never join anything and their right way of play is solo and egoistic aproach, also there are people who log few times a week for hour or two, join they big alliance "organised" warband and press 4-5 buttons.
Only gamemasters have knowledge how many people really xrealm, how often etc, and as we see, nothing was done except ruling out possibility of pushing fort and swap side by making lockout - which is easy to avoid, you can just log out before reservation ticket kicks in, or before keep lord dies and zone lock is inavitable. So tbh no matter how many threads more will pop, if gamemasters dont see issue, nothing will really change.
Same way you cant blame obesity people for eating ultra processed food, they dont know they been tricked by food companies, same RoR, so many people see a zone flip as a win, so they dont care which side they log, they are just addicted to meaningless campaign progress as obesity people to addictive ultra processed food.

Re: Xrealm imbalance quick fix
There are guilds that do it. Just because you're not privy to that information doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Behind the scenes most org guilds actually know each other. Some will chat and ask which side is winning so they can join the oppoisite faction(if they run on both factions). Sometimes they don't and have alliance nights where they all fight together. But there is effort going on. And guilds do get pissed with other guilds for stacking one side. But then again the fun for each guild is different. Mine for example likes 24v24 fights or tactical cooperation with other WBs(flanking while one WB pins etc). But there are guilds who's primary objective is farming kills no matter the consequence to the enjoyment of everyone else(forming zergs, farming WC etc). Not gonna say if that's right or wrong. But all these factors influence what guilds do on nights and how they choose to balance the realm. Yes, there is an effort. But only so much can be done unless everyone cooperates. Which is why it's not easily noticeable, especially when there's an hour or so lockout meaning a guild can't switch immediately upon a new guild WB joining the fight.Pure760 wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 9:03 am People would'nt go 'oh my side is currently crushing the other side, better xrealm to balance it and probably get crushed with them!' That makes no sense. I've always been destro since live and think order is lame cuz they all look the same and have pink underwear, no reason for me to xrealm.

Re: Xrealm imbalance quick fix
this game being grindy pos when it comes to gearing while pretending to be against "corporative greedy gameplay mechanics" is what needs to be fixed. if people didnt need 10 million crests to get BIS gear maybe their behaviour would change? and before anyone starts attacking im last here who's gonna be zerg riding.Scottx125 wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 12:06 amAnd what happens if one side is overpopulated and the other isn't? That means nobody can switch for several hours/a week. This suggestion would precipitate the very thing it intends to stop. Massive population imbalances/swings causing one side to get zerg'd. Again I reiterate the point. Xrealming isn't the problem, Xrealming for the wrong reasons is. People riding a zerg wave to get easy bags/kills is what needs to be dealt with. Not people switching side to balance the population.Pure760 wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 12:02 am I know this anti-xrealm suggesting causes a lot of xrealmers to get really salty when they've been exploiting it for so long and don't want to have their exploit be taken away.. but those who say 'just make a new account' That's fine, at least xrealmers will now have to start new accounts from scratch if they want to keep exploiting it. Just make the timer 1 week instead of 1 hour and the problem will be solved, making which side you choose to play on actually meaningful.
Over time many will make new accounts but still, it's a good deterrent imo, not a solution just a deterrent.
Re: Xrealm imbalance quick fix
To make it short, some people like to get carried by premades and hide inside their zerg and complain when those premades swap sides to defend and create at least some numerical balance.
It is quite shocking to be without any effort on the winner team and some minutes later you face strong opposition and wipe. It feels like being robbed, no?

Re: Xrealm imbalance quick fix
The problem is that some organized wbs bite pugs to do things that they wont normally do like siege 3 star keep or attack fort. Then they swap and farm unorganize pug that they led 5 mins ago.
And that is not balancing the numbers. That is grieving and missleading and that don't create fair fight so cut that ****.
Somehow we didnt see that "balancing" at lotd cos it is not guarantee win (beside Gravord, hats down)

As @Sulorie already said : PUGs are getting carried and then when the guilds WBs swap, they are killed and filled betrayed.Nameless wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 3:02 pm The problem is that some organized wbs bite pugs to do things that they wont normally do like siege 3 star keep or attack fort. Just, let's be honest, as a WB leadder you have 1 more hour to play, the zone starts to be empty because your faction is dominating. You do the math quickly and realize that if your WB changes faction, the outnumbered faction will still have AAO but there will be more actions, with potentially other WB guilds to face (rather than the WBs PUG who get dominated). What are you doing ? You insist, even if it means spending an hour roaming in the wind, making 23 others players fall as sleep ? Or are you changing faction, try to get some actions (against what ever the dominant faction have, as long as there is action) ?
Also, I already mentionned it, but when the swap happens, this is almost everytime only one WB that switch side and this is mostly after EU primetime. If this xlream WB manages to win against the dominant faction, maybe in the end the problem always remains the same fact : sometines, each faction is not able to organize/play correctly. We always come back to the same conclusion.
This is funny for LotD, because his WB was filled by players who belong to guilds that try to balance faction.
Re: Xrealm imbalance quick fix
Destro logged off as order were hiding in a keep and only leaving in a giant blob and then only far enough so that they could run back in. It was one of the most boring nights in rvr in last few years. When destro had logged that warband then pushed a keep with 100% aao to then swap to the other side to farm the unorgansied pugs. Some will see them as balancing heros others will see them creating a poor rvr experience and xrealming to farm pugs.Rapzel wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 3:23 pmhttps://www.twitch.tv/videos/1867592453?t=03h19m09s from yesterday.Dajciekrwi wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 10:43 amIts your own words, looks like You dont want to punish players who change faction for balancing?CyunUnderis wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 10:01 am Third, why punish players who change faction for balancing, when the problem is elsewhere (often linked to a lack of involvement on the part of players of the dominated faction) ?
