they will need to unlock the secrets of the Client before any of that can be a reality.

I mentioned 3rd faction as a joke. No one should be seriously asking for that.

Yeah a 3rd faction would take, about a year fulltime work, full new landscale, quests models concepts, implementaions testing and implanting it into the code without killing everything. It would be possible as the ultimate long term goal but nothing people should hope for any soon.

To answer a previouse question here you would need about 12 base models + gear from lv 1 to end content, **** ton of NPC's landcape, Sound for skills, model and skill animations, but the horrid part is the pure amount of hours it would need and manpower, right now i am developing a couple minigames for my Masters exam, and i can tell you models, graphics animations and all are just half the rent, the coding so everything works smooth beside each other without messing up anything and controll the data flow is a B**** .

if our beloved devs can emulate an old rvr system (any version is good for me), and dont try to re-invent the wheel, we should be able to to some fights :)

You seem to be implying that any of the previous RvR systems worked.

yep, my modest opinion is if its possible to do the same like its was (war) you should go in that direction

With respect to balance, to clarify, what is the intended path? To balance as was present in a certain state of live or to improve upon balance by making changes unique to RoR?
