You ask for better textures, but can't even notice the difference between 4k and enhanced aa+af compared to normal full HD? That's strange... Are you sure the game did take the changes you made? Prolly we can improve some Bad textures once we can Patch the client, but don't Quote me on that.

Yes I'm sure. I did Link screen shots with the difference. The only noticeable difference to me is the trees.

But to be quite honest making a turd have less jagged lines still looks like a turd. Its unfortunate the game didn't do so well and we never got a proper Texture upgrade thru the years.

Yes some textures are just Bad. There's no excuse for why they look like that. I hope they will be rewrked at some point. But to update all textures, we would need a real Team of artists. Mmos just have so many texture files...

Unfortunately, I tried that. Doesn't really improve anything outside changing up the Lighting / shading. Still very noticeable muddy textures that just look bad.

If it's not possible that sucks but it's something that will need to be dealt with. Was just curious because I know the Vanilla Warcraft Private server community have people who actually do improve the textures in old Versions of the game but It may be just them ripping newer models off the newer xpacs only.

The best improvement I got was using my Graphics card setting to scale the game to 4k but it was really laggy.

The Difference is almost unnoticeable though. You can kind of see it on the tree branches in the back.
First of all turn off bloom, sometimes its hurting eyes more. Textures are fine, whats bad is their resolution. 256x and 512x are sometimes too small and with big reasolutions textures losing sharpness. What you can do is force AF to maximum. Good luck.

True. My biggest gripe is how bad ground textures look in a lot of places which just kills the entire scenery.

I think everything in that image is pretty decent looking outside the Ground it just looks super awful like someone puked all over the floor. It also looks really awful when butted up against objects.

Turning up AA or AF is going to do nothing to fix that stuff which is what bothers me the most.

It looked awful because there wasn't any forced AF. Go try high AF then post, textures really look sharper

A sharper image isn't going to fix that, I've played with it and seen no big difference still looked bad. If it's a super improvement link me some screen shots of your set up so I can compare to make sure I'm doing it correctly.

Be strong in your ignorance.
My set up is rigged for perfomance, not set for max AF and sharp enough. So look at previous image - http://i.imgur.com/HOlzD4p.png

Say whatever you want but when you compare 16 AF to no 16 AF the difference is almost nothing.

http://i.imgur.com/KcplHU4.jpg - 16 AF

http://i.imgur.com/D1eDte3.jpg - nothing

With AF some parts become muddy that wasn't muddy without AF. **** looks awful in both screen shots. The right becomes more clear with 16 AF but the left becomes muddy. without AF the right is muddy but the left is more clear.

Like I said before a non jaggy turd is still a turd.

Yo. Af will increase texture sharpness of textures that are looked at from a side angle. And yes, the difference can be seen by a blind man. Most improvement is ofc Downsampling from ultra HD to full HD. If your graphics card can handle it- there you go. Can also enable some Ambient occlusuion via Nvidia Inspector, if you don't mind the fps loss.
Image can't manage to get the pics right here on my small phone Screen. Can post some tomorrow
