Why is this Alpha so hardcore?

When you win every match as Order.... Just because 12 is max right now why does gear and everything have to take so long? I guess if need an advantage in gear because you can invest 1000 hours then maybe you should try to just get better as a player rather than relying on having nothing better to do. The Warhammer I played last I would have been 12 by now and had some gear. I see how this is going to be a hardcore euro server so maybe I should just wait for someone to make another server...

Leveled a tank to 9 yesterday. Spent 1 hour grinding gold then bought Gale-outfit from auction house. Left is "end game" or grinding RR 10-20 possibly uppgrade an item or two (which will make little difference).

So like every MMO including WAR where if you invested time you had that sweet gear (not to mention renown rank)? What are you on about. You would have probably been 12 if you just queued up for and played the damn game, instead you are hurt over who knows what exactly? Gear doesn't take long as well - how are you to judge this when you apparently cannot even level past 3 ?

I'd say this is more than just an emu, it's the ONLY WAR we have. People play on here just to be able to play WAR, not bitch about it being a hardcore euro server or w/e.

It is taking longer because you are not doing the PQs.
XP gain is the same, as far as i know. Nothing 'hardcore' about it.

Max lvl is 12, why would the devs up the XP rates when you can get there pretty much in a spare afternoon or two? Like is being said, I don't even see the problem. Yes, quests are down at the moment but other than that leveling is quick enough.

You are deluded. This IS like WAR was. There's no difference. It's not like the developers were like: "WAR is too casual! Let's make it more hardcore! *NERFHAMMER!*"

The exp rate is 100% and the drops rates are almost the same as well. So I repeat: I don't see the problem.

What is there besides gear at max level exactly? You need to be more specific. As far as I know, all there is at max level is gear and renown ranks. So rr = everything else? You are exaggerating.

NEWSFLASH! MMOs are about how much time you spent in them. In no MMO do you log in and instantly get BiS gear and max level. It's just not happening. It's about investing time. Doing that time, you could also meet some awesome people, and there are plenty of them on this server. You would without a doubt have met some of them, if only you had leveled instead of moaning in this thread.

The Warhammer you played was closed down almost one and a half years ago. I honestly don't think you remember how it was when you STARTED playing. That would be like 5 years ago. And just so you know... There are problably more americans on this server, than europeans. But whatever, it's not like you are listening anyway.

Its not hardcore. The xp is at the same rate. The quests are just broken.
Gear isn't hardcore they have the same rate as live just the drop lists arent correct and gear doesnt drop off every mob of the appropriate tier. When thats fixed the ah will be flooded with cheap gear for every class. Regular gear didnt drop off specific mobs all gear of a certain tier dropped from all mobs of that chapter.

I made a new shaman yesterday and got him to r5/rr6 in about 2 hours without questing, while monkeying around with some addons at the same time.

In all earnesty though, if you are going to complain about how long it takes to get to level 12, you may as well uninstall now.
