Yes
Correct me if im wrong, but few years back it was less RR?
Nowadays you just get RR so fast that you cant keep up whit the gear.
A scroll of reduced RR might actually be a nice idea, as strange as it sounds. Especially for people who pretty much only do RVR and find their rank shooting up too quickly.
Agree! I actually would enjoy having max rr much further away to reach. This, besides of having fun playing a char, would motivate me much more than beeing max rr and the only new stuff to do is farming for a new armor set. :)

This kept, as example, so many players over a very long time playing daoc

Because it's needed for Souveren and Souv looks awesome.🙄

I think RR should be the only condition for wearing a set so yes pls make RR gain harder again.☺

With all these renown weekends, we got an enormous influx of players with high renown, no gear and poor knowledge of their class. I always thought it was a big mistake, because it would be obvious for them at some point to ask for rewards tied to their rank. And here we are. The only solution is keeping the gear cockblock and also reduce renown gain

Im all in on making rr gain slower if we can have a nice linear progression on equipment then. It is exhausting and frustrating to be locked out of gear by such a flawed design choice which only purpose is to make you get your set slower. whenever im playing during eu prime theres like 3 forts a week when im lucky and then ill only receive a reservation for 1 of it because there are over 400 ppl queuing. it is and feels just fake to hit this artificial wall. As it stands i cant really play my main because i surely do not want to get rr70 before i do not have my invader. because for some reason you cant downconvert royals. so my suggestion is:
Make RR gain slower after vanq, enable up and down conversion from vanq and royals. problem solved and i aswell as many others can finally play our mains again. It shouldnt feel like a loss if you win fortress and prevent a 5 star city by doing so. but atm it does and that really starts to make a lot of ppl trying to throw zones on purpose. just noticed it today in KV. all high rr players were lining up for stonewatch when the keep lord was still at 100%. thats sad, but who can blame them? :(

Agree here, it's a forced lockout for a majority of higher level and/or casual players.
I would accept something like it for endgame gear (read: City sets) since the casual player will have a hard time getting them compared to the full-time, every day playing and regular leading players and guilds, which is fine for an MMO, but City gear was handed out in an excessively easy way during the release week and not even corrected afterwards except for removing gear from bags, but not with a quick wipe for which it's now way to late sadly.

+1 Agree renown gain is way too fast
Oh, and if the rest of the Dev team could listen to their community, who keep bringing up the invader token acquisition problem...
instead of being as stubborn as donkeys...That would be nice, but then again... who are we to question the decisions made by a team of volunteers, huh, :D?

C'est jamais bon de traiter son hôte d'âne. Ca tend a donner raison a celui qui l'affirme au moment où il se prend un coup de sabot.

Seems some have eyes in our agendas, or think they have some "rights" to decide how we manage our time and planning. Since when anything in this project is engraved in stone? It is not because YOU need this or that RIGHT NOW, it has to be done RIGHT NOW.

You probably missed the point that every team member got characters too and play with the same rules any other player, including gear aquisition. So yes, we are aware at some level about some workflow issues.

Renown gain is too fast and invader gain is incorrect. It would be cool if invaders dropped off RR80 players (or had a chance to drop) but for some reason it’s a bad idea to give incentive to roaming/farming kill groups... if they increased price and did this it would be way better imo. Then you could actually play the game to progress. But with the current system in place you’re forced to afk til an event happens (event meaning city or fort) then once that happens you get on desired character and get 4/6 medals and back to nothing. City is nice because it gives invader to low RR but doesn’t fix the problem.

The current system promotes doing forts and cities but not the actual progression of getting to the fort, winning/defending it and going to city.

A lot of suggestions have gone out, so if anyone has been listening there certainly isn’t a lack of ideas:
-downconvert sov
-get rid of invaders from city’s all together (probably what you’re leaning toward, Albert this doesn’t fix problem unless more is changed)
-add rare invader drop chance in forts
-add invader drop chance altogether and increase price
-lower RR gain so people don’t hit RR 60 with 4 invaders.
-add fort instances so it’s not a laggy numbers fest of stacking RoF and other aoe.
Spoiler:
(It does stack, got screenies if being time stamped by several in same second, but this is a different issue altogether)
-orcapult
-whatever suggestions and ideas I missed that have been going around.

Watching streams of people on the team show that they don’t even like the content which sucks to see as someone who plays the game. Trash talking the own game you are in charge of :/

Obviously the main issues with invaders isn’t that it takes too long to get, its that the content to experience it isn’t enjoyable and is difficult to get to, its limited and subject to RNG. If I put in 5 hours in a zone I’m not guaranteed a spot I a fort, I have a chance. I have the same chance if I log in, get a kill, and sit in the fort I desire to be in. That shouldn’t be the case.

City’s are awesome content I’ve had so much fun being apart of city groups. Stage 1 shouldn’t feel like such a hopeless battle if you lose mid(lobbas and dragon need tweaking imo), but other than that... a 24v24 scenario? In the city? That’s so awesome I am on the edge of my seat for if Dwarf and elf zones ever get respective cities.

But I guess rant over, in time I’m sure we’ll get the fixes we need/want. Trying to manage a 10 y o game can’t be easy and with an understaffed team, ya. Much respect for you guys just thought maybe a post pointing out the black and white might help.
