-healing abilities become fixed on self rather than on target ~ONLY~ when the player is targeted while out of LoS
-heals will continue to land on the intended player as long as the targeting was made at the time of being within LoS (if LoS of intended player is lost, heals redirect to self for the time being, but only until they return to LoS, at which point heals once again land on intended player)
-range does not seem to have any factor in locking heals to self regardless of intended player being targeted within range or outside of it
just corroborates what most of you have said already, but it does seem to dispel the idea that range has any impact on this misdirected healing bug
***this is my experience with a shaman using abilities on bystanders in the wc
*edit* - I think I remember a thread about this made before the latest patch, in which the bug is acknowledged by a dev. can't seem to find it now though
