Oof, one step forward, two steps back. Why put a shield requirement on Vigilance? It functions differently from Oppression, so why does it have to mirror its gear requirements? Plus, with Chosen as the "offensive mirror", Knight is seen as the "defensive mirror". So why make it harder for Knights to use their defensive abilities?
Even less build diversity for Knights who want to wield a greatweapon now, all in the same patch where you try to increase build diversity for Chosens.

This isn't helpful. When Order "cried" about losing 70%+ of cities for months they were told to "git gud". Funny how the tables have turned on that argument.

Thank you for explanation, this helps in understanding the steps you take.
Also thank you for all the efforts, that you put into this server.
Still, there are few points id like to specify
1.Dirty Tricks requires shield and it is shatterable. OS requires 2h and is cleansable. Ch on the other hand is not limited by weapon restrictions.
2. While Opression has shield in description, Vigilance does not. Also this kills 2h kn due to lack of protective skills.
For example BO and BG can use protective skills without limitation. IB and SM has access to regen and absorbs. Ch can buff parry , that procs DS, buffing tough. Kn has none of that now.

Please leave Vigilance as it is for KotBS. Do not replace one bad idea with another - and stop constantly trying to shoehorn every bloody ability and tactic into a specific spec. It's destroying the fun of the game and the versatility and variations of class play.
Vigilance is a very useful ability to have as a defensive 2h knight - and the cost is the loss of generally better things, especially for group play. For solo and smallscale (i.e. less than 6-man), it gives you a bit of extra survivability, at the cost of dps output. It's perfectly fine as it is - so leave it as such.

Without getting into a discussion of the merits, the transparency and communication in this post is very encouraging. Players are passionate about this game. While that passion can drive them to do great things and be a good member of the community, it can also enflame them when something perceived to be negative happens. I believe (a) that the developers are not trying to sabotage the game or balance it in favor of one side or the other, and (b) that balance is an iterative process for staff that works full time for a company, much less for volunteers.
It is easy and convenient to devolve into snark, melodrama and negativity. I can only speak personally, but I generally try to keep a level head about this. But, I definitely was negative and snarky yesterday about it. From an Order perspective, this change was ripe for it.
Hopefully, this gives more direction to feedback than the general kvetching that goes on. I'm very encouraged by this post.

It requires parry or block, so yes.
