I realize the devs can't really afford to ban out the toxicity considering how small the community is. I just wish the ignore feature worked to any extent. I mean I'm not the only one that can't use it am I?

It works for tells afaik. Otherwise just filter out advice chat (because let's be honest, you'd have so many people on ignore list from advice anyway).

The way I see it, every once in a while, everybody's got to take a beating. - Henry Hill, Goodfellow

This type of verbal harassment seems to happen more to players who react to it the most. They pick on you because you respond, get riled up enough to log on the forums and create a post about it.

If your normal response to being berated for "no reason" is to respond at all, you're doing it wrong kid. Arguing over a game, online, is just plain stupid. You look stupid for feeding the trolls and everyone else already knows the trolls are stupid. Just know that if you can't remember their name because of how well they play their class,, they aren't worth remembering for the most part. Gaining noreriety as the troll with the sharpest tong or worst language in game seems to be a goal some sub-par players have. Yes, these elitist you are referring to are far from elite. The really good players seldom have anything negative to say. On the contrary, they usually note the good things you did.

This whole online harassment is a hot topic right now, and it's not going away anytime soon in a free to play game. I hate to say it, but, Man the Ef Up. Be the bigger person and let it go. Believe me, responding here or in game with anything other than silence simply encourages them.

Only pathetic betas use ignore in online games.

If someone is honestly harassing you constantly via PM's or using advice to attack you personally then take a screen shot and send it to a GM (Sigmarpriest atm) and they will give that person a nice vacation from the game. But don't waste their time w/ some random guy sending you a single PM saying something like "wow u suck dude" after a scenario.

It's like you're trying to be my guidance counselor. Nobody here knows the in game characters attached to this user and if they did, they'd hold a certain prestige and more than likely carry a bit of respect with it. That or they'd be doing something not necessarily legal. Can't read past once again because of mega fallacy overload.

Yeah because I should choose to surround myself with internet tough guys instead of enjoying myself. How do you guys even post stuff like this without literal troll language embedded. Do you actually have this thought process? Eeeek, that's just eerie masochist behavior.

That is Not true. The devs have and will ban People regardless of the community size.
Last week saw an discussion on advice chat about a banned player. And someone argued that devs shouldnt ban because there is such a small Community.

I disagree on that point. The size of the community is no Protection from TOS violation.

It's just painfully obvious to many here that you are one of the types who are going to be offended by anything negative thrown your way, and that you are indeed wasting your time playing this game if that is going to totally ruin your enjoyment. The games community is never going to turn into the hugbox you are the people in the past who have made the same pointless threads want it to become.

Sounds like you're venting, and you can't spell when you're doing it. I'm not reading this. As for the devs actually banning people, that's nice to hear.

I'm venting? Look at your OP.

And what did I misspell? I'm from Alabama so you will have to cut me some slack in that regard :^)
