8 points means rank 21 and 11 points is rank 26, if the tactic only affected snipe and bolt of change(which i think it should) then its a t3 change and is basically the same as sw's get with EA tactic and fester arrow but just not as devastating.
Also if ppl think it would work then i think it warrants changing enchanted arrows to ignore 50% resists instead of 100 to stop the ridiculous 1 shots that even a monkey could be trained to do.

You finding the class 'fine' on a personal level, and as a direct result of your experience with the class in lower tiers (my discussion pertains to end-game and T3+ - not t1/t2, where the Magus -can- somewhat perform), does not take away from anything that has been said here regarding the Magus needing some improvements/fixes. hence why I am unsure as to why you posted it, when it offers nothing.
Anyone can make any class shine, and find it 'fine' for them. That doesn't mean, however, that X class isn't worse than Y, and needs some fixes.

Level to 31, and try to be effective against a good group of Order with good heals, then get back to me.

before making huge revamp to dps classes is good to decide the changes to healers archetypes. cos changing healing \and/or guard\ will change the dps dynamic metawise. So i am totaly for magus/engi love but if u consider changes for healers (imo you should) they should got the priority cos that may change everything

minor changes and fixes are ok

...improving the DPS of Magus/Engi will have an affect on healers, in that they will start to notice aforementioned classes as genuine damage dealers, just as they would a SH or Sorc; something that should have been the case from the get-go.
A fix all-round.

Note: Please don't go all out stupid when responding to suggestions. If you DON'T play the class and do NOT understand the mechanics behind it, then your feedback is irrelevant. You go to a doctor when you're sick to get an opinion right? You don't ask the hobo down the street for help because he's irrelevant and won't be able to do much. Do the same here.

So we've got:

Snipe/Bolt of Change to 5s CD
Hollow Points / Changer's Blessing to 50% armor/resist ignore on Snipe/Gun Blast and Bolt of Change/Flickering Red Fire
Mine stagger to 5s

Any issues with those? If you think Snipe and Bolt of Change become too strong, just move them to the 13 pt slots.

Piercing bite for guns actually doesn't seem like a bad idea to me.

One question though how do we balance this with fighting chance?

I would hold off having the new tactic affect gunblast and flickering red fire for now as they are spammable skills with no cooldown. See how it goes with snipe and bolt of change then if still not enough allow gunblast and flickering red fire to be affected by the new tactic.
Also no change for enchanted arrows tactic for balancing issues ?
