A decision is a decision. But I ask if it will get to the extent of a character wipe? People have proved their point, yes. But some of us only try to make a living in WAR believe it or not; even as basic, chill, guild leaders. I do hope any decision based farther than a simple gold reset will not result in the work put into a guild vanishing.
On another note, true people of the community will continue playing regardless of a gold wipe. Gold is a big part of the game, but in it's current state its only really used for the AH, right? Gold for this current stage of the game is used in small amounts for flying and AH. That is practically it! Unlike what it soon will be, gold can't be used for crafting, buying mounts (20+), and higher tier sets. They should have plenty of time to get back to an appropriate amount.
Before this came across my mind, I farmed my own gold, and yes I sold my pieces for low prices. They would almost instantly get sold out by someone else and put up again at a higher price- for those working the AH all the time...Anyways if people think WAR is all about buying the gear and sitting at a AH- then you need to go play your card games somewhere else. I think this is a reason why the Devs had made the decision of a gold wipe. Not only bots, but those who play their part sitting at the Ah buy and sell for increased amount causing a chain reaction in huge gold profit and can be known as such an exploit.
These are just my thoughts.
Best of luck,
