Re: Statement current exploits

I saw players talking about stuff/items wipe on this thread, but not really dev (I don't think I missed it but maybe ...). I would like to know if you want to do an items wipe too ?
I don't really like the idea of a gold wipe when I farmed souls, dust snout and other mobs for hours, but I understand it's the only way against exploiters.
But I really disagree with an items wipe. It's my own opinion, I won't blame dev when it's exploiters' fault.
@ Yalishka : I would like to blame exploiters but unfortunatly, we don't know who they are :(

Just to reiterate: There is not only a gold exploit, but an item duplication exploit as well. Gold exploiters (and others) are also now putting their money into items in order to dodge the gold wipe.

I bought all "Stolen Karl" from the AH. It's the only crisis-proof currency.

If character gold is set to any fixed amount above say... 2g, I'll be earning some gold from this!

A decision is a decision. But I ask if it will get to the extent of a character wipe? People have proved their point, yes. But some of us only try to make a living in WAR believe it or not; even as basic, chill, guild leaders. I do hope any decision based farther than a simple gold reset will not result in the work put into a guild vanishing.

On another note, true people of the community will continue playing regardless of a gold wipe. Gold is a big part of the game, but in it's current state its only really used for the AH, right? Gold for this current stage of the game is used in small amounts for flying and AH. That is practically it! Unlike what it soon will be, gold can't be used for crafting, buying mounts (20+), and higher tier sets. They should have plenty of time to get back to an appropriate amount.

Before this came across my mind, I farmed my own gold, and yes I sold my pieces for low prices. They would almost instantly get sold out by someone else and put up again at a higher price- for those working the AH all the time...Anyways if people think WAR is all about buying the gear and sitting at a AH- then you need to go play your card games somewhere else. I think this is a reason why the Devs had made the decision of a gold wipe. Not only bots, but those who play their part sitting at the Ah buy and sell for increased amount causing a chain reaction in huge gold profit and can be known as such an exploit.

These are just my thoughts.

Best of luck,

The thing is farmers will be dependant on drops. Whatever price they set for an item the exploiters can either undercut or buy out to corner the market with their exploited goods. Because the famrers depend on rng they cannot control what they put on the market. There will be certain items that dont drop and stay inordinately high that the exploiters will be able to make huge profits on. The farmers will be selling lower due to the exploiters being in control of the system and buying higher for things that dont drop. So the exploiters can constantly take profits out of the that arrangement. Its profiteering just like in real world economies during times of reduced supply.

Ofc they do that, i did it also, all done it...What's the point of warning message for an upcomming gold wipe? Didn't u considered the results of this message without a gold wipe? Its like giving the key to prisoner and u expect not to escape but destroy the key...
Anyway ppl here are ignorant or they playing dumb in purpose! You all knew the duplicate bug from begging...How ppl giving away free medallions? Because they are nice and kind? No coz they had 65k+ medallions...
All of u blame the gold exploiters...duplicate bug could happen to everyone...i am really curious about the ppl talking about ethics, how they gonna react to a duplicate item that they can sell it to npc or at ah? destroy it? like finding on the road a bag full of money and throw it away...well the solution for me is to fix those issues and stop blaming others.
