Re: Leveling is painfully slow

Tbh, i leveled from lvl 1 to 40 doing only RvR and it didn't take that long nor felt like a waste of time... i actually enjoyed it. Sure, sometimes it's a bit dead or scenarios don't feel as rewarding as you would expect them to be but seriously the game is all about PvP and if you are active and actually involved in the action(e.g. leading a wb) it makes it way better and funnier to play... i mean seriously, you even get to know people and learn the game if you are a first time player that's just starting and if the problem is you not bein able to level up an alt fast enough for YOUR standards, then i would say you totally missed the step of knowing people and getting in a good guild while leveling your main so that you could arrange something with them. So, all in all, it's your fault. Stop complaining and do something instead, i'm sure cryin on forum is not gonna give you that much exp.

A lot of the people saying it's fine etc. Either dont play on NA time zones. or if they do, they dont play order.

Someone else posted, earlier in the thread, s bout how fast it is lvling in rvr, how in the last 3 days on NA time zone, they locked 7 or 8 maps, so lvling is fine. As dest, with 0 order

So basically we should all just reroll dest, durning the week.

Or just play on the weekends lol

Your player base is telling you that leveling is too slow and boring asf.
Your player base is telling you that T2/3 pvp is no fun, dead and a waste of time

Ignoring your players and forcing them to play how you want them to is not going to work. Look at when they tried to force people to move away from Nordland in T1 when it was locked. you cant force people to play in a way that they don't want to.

Get people into T4 asap and enjoy the game properly. T1-3 is like the story intro/how to play mission at the start of most single player games. After you;ve done it once you always skip it on your next play through.

I'm sorry, but we don't agree. I know it's hard to deal with being told the opposite of what you want is what will be happening in the future. Our goal is not to get people into T4 ASAP, and we find that mindset is what is causing T2/T3 to be 'dead', so powerleveling/grinding will be getting some hammers until it's meeting our goals.
The two ways I can see to resolve this is to merge (at least some of) T2/T3 with T4 and let people have a speedy leveling experience past T1, therefore allowing Rank 32-40s populate them too, or make RVR the undisputed king for levelling between 16-31 by boosting XP gained from it. People won't RVR in the middle ranks as you want if there are quicker ways of getting to Rank 40 as the game really starts to become interesting at Rank 40.

At the moment, after taking xp from BOs away, grinding PQs is the quickest way to level, and nets you a decent amount of gold for potions, talismans and mount (especially if you take scavenging too). Making RVR quicker to level (regardless of win or loss) would take the power-levelers away from PQing and into T2/T3 - giving gear or RR doesn't matter to experienced players in T2 or T3, as gear will become obsolete very quickly and RR can be very quickly gained at R40.

TL;DR - make RVR worth something to powerlevlers who don't care about RR and gear for pre-40.

You're battling human nature and logic. Hitting people with a stick until they play T1-3 how you want them to will not work, and will most likely reduce the number of people rolling alts even more.

There is no logical reason to play in T1-3.

- Zerging empty keeps is not fun, and thats 90% of T2-3 orvr
- PvP without proper builds and abilities is unbalanced and frustrating
- Getting to T4 sooner means you begin acquiring T4 influence, Conq medalions, keep rolls, Conq emblems etc sooner
- Action is more constant in T4, its rarely completely dead like T1-3
- Sc pops are more frequent in T4
- Most of your guildmates and friends are in T4, thus you isolate people in T1-3

People should want to play this game and want to roll alts. At the moment they dont want to because of the pointless XP grind to T4.

tldr; more carrots, less sticks

Since the stick does not when trying to get people to play the midtier, one should wonder why it does not wortk; what is it that makes people want to enter T4 ASAP?
The answer is the end game gear. The sooner you start gaining progress towards building your Conq gear the better off you are. Renown be damned, exp is easy, but getting the end game gear requires access to T4 so the sooner you enter it, the better it is for you.

Solution; start earning your final gear already in T3 lakes. Now that's a proper carrot.
Have all players drop something like "Conqueror shards" in T3 lakes, with 5 shards being enough to purchase 1 actual Conq medallion, or ~4 Officers medallions. (so they can get to Anni gear faster) [old rate, 1 soldier medal = 0.2 officer medal, new rate 1 shard = 1.25 off-medal)
Old current mechanic; you get 100 kills in T3 somehow: you end up with 100 soldiers medals, yay
New possible incentives: those 100 kills give 100 conq shards, which can be converted into 20 conq medals, or say 40 officers medallions

let's face it, many might be playing just for "fun", but for many others the daily session includes aiming towards gear improvements. And if you somehow figure how to make T3 offer carrots regarding end-game gearing-up, then maybe you will see increased numbers in the lakes, fighting for the possibility of earning even tiny amounts of rewards that will help them in the later game.

It's always about incentives. ;)

(my idea might need some improvement and some tweaking, but the idea is still to somehow begin earning end game gear the moment you land in mid tier, meaning time spent doing pvp in mid tier is not time wasted - when comparing to the alternative of entering T4 fast and beginning the gear advancement only once there)

Have to agree with Althi. If the server were able to maintain a healthy population, evenly distributed among ALL tiers, then it wouldn't be a problem, but given that the earlier tiers are - by and large - ghost towns, I have to agree with most of his points.

Amen, nothing more to say.
I dont understand the point of view of the devs, wanted to fill the T2 and T3. If you want to make people play in T2/3 RvR just add more XP by playing in, like a lot or some easy rewards. For now all i see is the dev trying to make this tier like the server is full, for now it's 7pm here, I see three warbands in T4, one in T1, it is a proof that the guards exploit was not the problem (im not saying to bring back the exploit!) of the empty RvR tiers and devs sould find another way to fill this zones.
