Leveling is painfully slow
Leveling is painfully slow
I'm really struggling to keep playing. I want to get to T4 but leveling is just excruciating. My leveling buddy stopped due to it bring so slow. SCs give no xp, rvr gives no xp, and I didn't start this game to quest. Are there any improvements coming to this?

Leveling isn't that slow to be honest, it just feels like it because the gameplay is probably a bit slower than what you're used to. RvR can net you a lot of XP in a relatively short amount of time, it's just all about timing when you're playing, since during peak hours, there's going to be a lot more fighting = more XP (and RP).

The question is: do you have fun during scenarios or RvR? If you do, then just play and have fun.Fayy wrote:I'm really struggling to keep playing. If your goal is to reach T4, then I recommend music you enjoy and just killing mobs over and over, you will get gold, listen to the music and let your brain rest.

Re: Leveling is painfully slow
in t4 the game is not that much different, so if you dont enjoy playing, not much sense to rush to t4 anyway.

He is suggesting that a slight XP gain boost could be applied to quest and mob rewards. It would be beneficial.

Endure the grind until 16 then kill BO guards until 29. From 16 to 29 takes only a few hours. After that PQ for ruin.
Wish they would offer a way to bypass t1 to t3 as for me the game starts with t4

my personal opinion: i agree on second+ characters but i think at least the first character should be played "normaly".

Re: Leveling is painfully slow
I haven't gotten any of my characters to T4 yet, but my experience so far:
T1 leveling is fun, awesome, fast, brutal and fun. After rank 12-ish progress slows down.
In T2/T3 pvp is all but extinct most of the time (especially T2), and pve is more effective. Boring as hell, but really the only viable way to level.
T4 again, I haven't reached yet but looking at the player count I guess this is where the fun picks up again.

Re: Leveling is painfully slow
In my experience, if you power level to T4 (on your first character, anyway) you are not going to have much fun when you get there because your renown rank will be low so you won't have the points to spend on your build and you'll get wrecked a lot unless you constantly run with a wb or some kind of group. Just keep that in mind.
Also, t2/t3 doesnt have to be slow. Even during NA hours I'm usually able to get a wb going just by inviting a couple people and opening it up. Trust me, others will join as soon as they hear there is an open wb, even if it seems like there's no one around. Just remember to announce your wb in /t2 and /t3 and maybe also /5. It works like a charm, you'll have more fun than grinding mobs and with the exp boost in those tiers you will gain exp and renown quickly, especially if you focus on running supplies. Imo, this is how you should level because you'll learn your class in rvr and you'll hit t4 with an appropriate renown rank and full Devastator gear. This is how I level all my characters, and I have many, and I play during the "dead" hours so I if can make it work I think most people can too.
