Because the famrers depend on rng they cannot control what they put on the market. There will be certain items that dont drop and stay inordinately high that the exploiters will be able to make huge profits on. The farmers will be selling lower due to the exploiters being in control of the system and buying higher for things that dont drop. So the exploiters can constantly take profits out of the that arrangement. Its profiteering just like in real world economies during times of reduced supply.
Agreed, again theoretically. In this scenario the exploiters are required to start out with more buy-ability than others, they could easily farm some g and start buying out the items, but then again that is sadly a possibility for all. Another option is ofc to sell some of their items cheaper but then reduce demand.
Exploiters would some how need to monitor AH 24/7 as lower priced gear will most likely sell faster than BQ for 500g. The farmers are not dependant on AH, unlike the real first world, trading economy and freebies are lot more common during times of reduced supply(I am not the only dealing mainly in this field).
RoR seems to be a more monitored enviroment, and the transperancy between seller and buyer is better in regards of the information flow, ex. the medallions warning. The current discussion is kind of warning. Selling never dropping items is a alarm clock.
Nice discussion btw^^
