Az, how close to the door are we talking? If Rift is all ppl say it is, we don't want Magus to be w/o his apparent One Good Trick just because he is somewhere (aside from the door, ofc) in a keep. :)

Also, it seems like ppl AoE DPS thru the door a lot. I'm guessing it's not possible to negate that, due to needing to not block defensive AoEs from nukers on the ramparts, but getting AoEd by someone you cannot yourself target, because it's thru a door, sure is annoying. That and the damn lions thru the door >.<

I'm not going to implement something incredibly elegant to deal with this. We're looking at something as gross as "within x ft of keep".

Plenty of other classes have little to do but sit with their fingers in unmentionable places at keep sieges, so I'm not too concerned over this.

If you're just sitting, playing with unmentionables, you may be doing something wrong

Well, melee, aside from WL, is shafted til the door is dn, for sure, but does any class get gimped in general inside it's own keep, or in attking once the door is dn?

My anti-zerg bias is showing through. I need to check it.

(I don't much enjoy keep sieges as a tank, as opposed to, say, a Bright Wizard, which is what I was getting at.)

Tanks ARE keeps. They don't need to take keeps, as it would be redundant. ;)

Coordinate punts with rdps to kill squishies bombing from the top, guard the postern, guard the healers, be guarded by the tanks and bang on the door. Mdps can do things besides just sit there with their unmentionables showing.

Getting a team of MDPS inside a keep and having your healers AoE heal at the door does wonders for ground floor clearing/holding before the door goes down. Should we disable those too at keeps? :P

Should be done for close-range AoE too... make tight quarter ramp bombing a thing of the past and let the Pits of Shadow rule!
