can we give all clases matter in wb gameplay? i dont think slayer/choppa mara/wl aoe is nerfed when they can spam aoe without targeting vs wh/witch (u need target and your aoe is 3max ppl with less 10% damage)
give squig aoe ranged
p.s ranged st anyway need some nerf. 4k on st is toomuch (or crit cap)
p.s.s players from 16-39 anyway is most hated here in pug wbs constantly get kicked/replaced. and ppl whant fresh blood into game.

Re: [PTS] Patch Notes 16/08/2024
What I dont seem to agree with in this general PTS patch, is that main attributes are getting touched after being the same for so many years.
The timing is odd for me after the Ring event, and Why do it in the middle of the roadmap changes. Why does it make sense to do it after Tanks are done, healers are halftway done (?) and dps are not touches yet?
I lack the insight and overview to see why this fundamental change is happening now, are the dps changes already planned and these changes are part of the end goal? If so, this send strange vibes of when we had GCD increased for reasonings mentioned for needs arriving half a year later. Can we get the full picture at once please, so we know what we are actually gonna test and what the end product will look like. These half baked approaches are not landing well imho.
IF ballancing proves to be too annoying or too hard to deal with, then please just stop trying. And focus on gamemechanics which more desperately needs attention for Scenario matchmaking, orvr game mechanics, progression and FUN of the game.
Honestly speaking none of the patches since ability rework in terms of balancing has made the game more balanced nor fun if anything playerbase seem more frustrated, it seems to just lead to one bandaid after the other and we are back to exactly previous balancing of RoR over the years (SH rework, Broadheadarrow etc)
Time to let go of the E-sports balanced game dream and instead accept Warhammer for what it was meant to be, two realms with different tools and playstyles and then give us fun scenarios, orvr and pvp where we can use our realm strengths with good gamemode-mechanics in SCs, orvr.
The keeplord and fortress changes were pretty spot in, noone is talking about it because its drowning in fiddling with mainstats now for whatever reason not needed nor wanted. Focus on game mechanics, please!

I think that's a bit of a simplification. Sure, patches have been hit or miss in terms of reception, but we had some that were very well received by the community.
- January 10th (Snare Equalization + Magus/Engi buffs) viewtopic.php?f=42&t=52335
- January 19th (BO/SM and other class changes + Book/Chalice resource gain normalization) viewtopic.php?f=42&t=52372
- March 11th (Dmg procs no longer affected by non-gear dmg% modifiers)
viewtopic.php?f=42&t=52715
- May 3rd (AOE radius decreases, AOE line width increases, Proc dmg scaling changes, Tank changes + more, Reintroduction of gear in Gold bags)
viewtopic.php?f=42&t=53038 (only the removal of You Wot soured the reception a bit)

Squigs use armor+punt to easily get rid of any mdps siting on their precious ass. We all know range of sh punt. Some SH just pop armor and wait till pet eat the ataker. Run away is of strongest reposition skills ingame, u just pop it when u sense any danger/need to chase. With ranged tactic it spams insta/casting on the move skills from 80ft (90 with invader and gas squig optionally+15ft) making then insanely mobile. Add to that 4 sec disarm range of wich extended by pet movement. And buggy pet on top that can be buffed into murder machine. And detaunt tactic for antiburst that stack to 75% with original detaut. And extra healing from tastes like chicken for 1600. And speedbuff tactic option. And acces to 2x execute in while can hit&run. Maybe squigs players can add some bullshit to that pile that i missed?
How again? SH needs a buff?

A very good and bold change in the way some statistics work.
Never a statistic should increase offensive and defensive capabilities. The WS change is unexpected but excellent.
If you want defensive capabilities then enhance defensive stats like tough, wounds, ini not WS.
Many people won't like it because they had the benefit of it.
Mdps and tanks had increased defensive capability without investing in it. They benefited from the meaningless ability that WS provided which was parry. Tanks were happy to use WS to increase their offensive capabilities and benefited from off sets because it gave them more parry.
Now if you want to be a tougher tank you have to rather use def sets which makes sense. Not the way it is now.
I congratulate you for having the courage to make unpopular but fair decisions.

So following that logic you would be ok with removing disrupt from Willpower- after all getting a defensive ability from a main or secondary stat is not good - right?Alubert wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 1:34 pm A very good and bold change in the way some statistics work.

Technically it does for dps RP/Zealot. But yeah.

Willpower is not off stat. Except runi/zeal special mechanic - but it is special mechanic.Panel wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 2:40 pmSo following that logic you would be ok with removing disrupt from Willpower- after all getting a defensive ability from a main or secondary stat is not good - right?Alubert wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 1:34 pm A very good and bold change in the way some statistics work.

A very disingenous way to argue.Zxul wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 11:12 amsalazarn wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 10:49 am I have 488 spirit ress of on my sov geared wh which is 30% mitigation. Magus debuff lowers that baseline by 370 according to career builder to 110 or 6.54% mitigation. I don't find non tanks use resistance liniments I don't think that's a plausible argument.
If I, when roaming on for example magus, use toughness pot instead of say intel pot or crit lini, than there is no reason why you on your wh can't use a +360 all resists lini. If you chose to play as a glass cannon, then don't complain about taking dmg as a glass cannon.
salazarn wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 10:49 am A WL with 660 pot and sov is like 3440 armor or 50.63% mitigation. Do you know much weaponskill I'd need to stack to get that guy to 6.54% mitigation?
Well my WH has 657 weaponskill which includes everything on gear, FULL talismans wpnskill cept one, and full 120 wpnskill from from renown. That takes the WL to 1826 armor.
During the 10second armor debuff from opener that puts him at 926 armor or 15.78% mitigation. So I can full tune my character to weaponskill penetration and get less penetration by default on a middle geared target than a baseline caster with no stat investment whatsoever.
Let me introduce to a wonderful item called city dungeon weapon with a -800 armor proc. If I when roaming on WE used it, then so can you while roaming on WH. Now remake that calculation.
Also, let me introduce you to a WH tactic called Blessed Blade. Now remake the calculation yet again.
Great, I'm glad that you agree with Farrul that sh- a physical dmg dealer- is underpowered, and need a dmg buff. I will make sure to bring up your name in every thread asking for a sh nerf, thanks for your support.
No one said SH were underpowered
City weapon armor debuff clearly doesn't stack with armor debuff spells so you're wrong
Trying to involve blessed blade, a specific, unique and actually not commonly used spell when we are trying to get a sense of general physical damage is inappropriate
So your argument is we should all use expensive resistance liniments that dont stack with stat pots?
