Re: Current State of Classes and Abilities (PvP)
The AP timer seems to be wrong in another way, too. Been timing using this video:
Click here to watch on YouTube
00:08.600 - Flurry
00:10.133 - Flurry End
00:10.736 - AP tick
00:10.866 - Flurry
00:12.402 - Flurry End
00:12.836 - AP tick
00:12.866 - Flurry
00:14.333 - Flurry end
00:14.803 - AP tick
The results I'm getting suggest that the AP timer does not actually pause, and the AP lock is implemented as an ignore of AP ticks, as the time between AP ticks is 0.5s instead of 1s. The AP timer should pause, not run with its timer pops ignored, when a regeneration-preventing condition is true. Accordingly, the cast time of an ability (or the GCD if that is longer) should be added to the next AP regeneration tick interval when that ability is cast, with the previous next regeneration time interval saved elsewhere in case the spell is interrupted somehow.
The cost of Flurry is 30 AP (as shown) and 25 AP is regenerated per tick, so there is a case near the end where I have to wait for 2 AP regeneration ticks. In these cases you can see that Slow Down! comes up first.
As someone will undoubtedly point out that there is an AP issue with making multiple long casts in a row, this is because the incorrect handling was noticed before, and there's a small buffer on the AP lock time for casting spells. This cumulative buffer results in a major AP regeneration delay when chaining multiple casting abilities. It should be removed when the AP regeneration is fixed.

Re: Current State of Classes and Abilities (PvP)
Fiery Blast and Shattered Shadows (the BW and Sorc range AoEs) will disconnect you from the server if you cast them on yourself, on a player ally or if your enemy target moves behind cover when the spell is cast.

Re: Current State of Classes and Abilities (PvP)
Is this raised? Sorry, I've not been paying close attention to bug reports lately.
Re: Current State of Classes and Abilities (PvP)
Afaik nalgol uses the OP as a reference for things to fix, so I don't generally post on the bugtracker about combat and careers-related issues, but I've updated the bugtracker in any case. I bump the thread with some of the more game-affecting issues since I think more people read the forum than the bugtracker.
Re: Current State of Classes and Abilities (PvP)
Thanks for the updates on the OP.

Re: Current State of Classes and Abilities (PvP)
A discussion regarding that already took place. I don't think any consensus was reached there, though.
