
Maybe you are all right. I made this thread because, at the moment, death just feels so meaningless when it should be seen to be a massive failure. I have watched people let themselves be killed for the sole reason that they could not be bothered to walk back to the warcamp.
I wonder how far we'd have to dumb down the game mechanics before we remove death entirely and award players based on effort and "damage" dealt. We need the pugs to feel brave enough to enter the lakes after all

On a more serious note however, something like a leaderboard or performance ranking might work, as suggested above. That's not a bad idea.
