Does Death Carry Enough Weight?

The many deaths I have experienced on my infrequent travels through the RvR lakes have made me realize that unlike the live version of Warhammer Online, there is little reason to care if I am murdered a hundred times a day or just the usual fifty-seven.

With the old system, a player would incur a fifteen-minute penalty to their character's total health pool and the effect would stack if you were killed again in that time. Admittedly, it was not of much consequence if you had to pay a few silver coins to circumvent this minor nuisance, but it was atleast some form of punishment. That has been taken out however, and even if it had not been, gold is even easier to come by now so such a system would possess even less significance.

Currently, players are able to throw themselves in to the action with little regard for their safety, and if they fall, they can easily be resurrected, or at worst, teleported back to the warcamp. Your rotting cadaver can even earn experience and renown points while it waits patiently for some kind soul to restore to it life.

Does this make the gameplay feel shallow, and what if anything could be done to make the careless more reluctant to be killed?

As far as I remember you got 10% hp pool debuff if you died in pve, stacking up to 50%.

stacked until 90 %, anyway agree on the waste o money, and it really have no sense put a death penality in a rvr game when you just ress at wc and cleanse it.

There is alredy a ress sickness while ress by skills, it alredy fine.

I think it is fine how it is, when you die and get revived you have a Debuff for a minute and that can be really life or death in SCs, RVR and pve.

Considering how bad people run away to stay alive, death does carry weight. We don't want to penalize people from dying cause that will add incentive to zerging, and only running with superior numbers/players.
