Still binned it :P they had the option to ask "are you going to eat that?" and they chose not to take it.

Long story short - Should GW agree, they would need funding to properly publish it (again) and they'd most likely go to EA, if they go to EA, EA will probably insist that It's run on their terms, which I'd rather just not have happen. The RR 100 was **** nonsense. The amount of microtransaction crap they added was unacceptable in so many ways. Not to mention game just came to a stand still.

Let's just have a LITTLE patience and let the devs here sort out the issues and then we'll all get back to enjoying the game for what it should have been.

I just worry about the longevity of the server. If it can continue to exist without official say so from the IP holders. It would pain me to have WAR taken away... again. :(

Not just that, but can the RoR team keep it up forever? Servers are expensive! And I feel bad at how much they are sacrificing for us :(

Hopefully if a GM or Dev ever decides to leave, some kind person will take the torch to continue volunteering :/ there's loads of assholes in the world but also loads of selfless and genuine people too ;)

Raught, it can continue just fine. In all honesty I cannot imagine GW wanting to shut us down, I had personal contact to 2 of the developers back in the day, particularly during the PTR testing days.

They were generally quite mellowed out people but they had major issues with EA pushing them.

It was EA's choice to shut the game down, not the Mythic staff, I imagine they didn't object to the idea because they didn't really see it going anywhere and tbh, I don't think they ever expected WAR to be a fairly huge success, they were constantly in comparison with WoW, which had several years on them and a lot better technology for the time.

Not surprising. GW doesn't seem to care much for their Warhammer IPs. In fact they seem to ***** it out to anyone nowadays.
