I'm trying to get up to speed with the possibilities of modding and file-digging on WAR. How was Llondo able to run around the city? Is it already in-game? I assumed that all there was in-game was just a door and nothing behind it.

It's not ingame. You have to add them.

That's interesting, I wasn't aware there was any capacity to mod WAR like that. How is that done? Can you edit the maps and place down models, or is this swapping out one model with another somehow?

You can EDIT and MODIFY EVERYTHING in warhammer.

Sure you can place model and edit maps.

But for that you need to update your game folder.

That's very cool. Are there any tools available for map editing? Apologies for the derailing and the questions. I couldn't find any hint of a modding community on Google when I investigated a while back so this is all news to me.

No there aren't any tools.

You can edit the files itself and add things but that's much work.

Okay Well worry about the capital cities down the road after we have everything working with small bugs and T4... Then release these new cities :D. It's pretty neat though to see these.

The Dark Elf "city" would have been the Black Ark, the Fist of Malekith.

As said by Dana, adding/modifying files of war is perfectly possible as long as we have tools to do so. War files are mostly stored AFAIK in propietary formats of either Mythic or Gamebryo engine. As long as we are able to reverse engineer these file formats (some work is already done, see for example the NifTools) we could develop the tools to do so.

About the capital cities, I know that some of them are already in the game files (not finished). With the aforementioned tools we could finish them or even add new ones, but as Dana said, this is a loooot of work and there are probably things more important right now :)
