Saying to someone "go away" is not a good answer or a good signal to give. Thats not acceptable.

mikke :),

Impose Zerg is not the purpose of this test :). I understand your concerns about this and as said some days ago, the plan at term is to provide to players options depending what they want to do in the lake (solo work, team, wb, zerg? all this option with advantages and possible objectives and ofc risks). But this part will come with the T2 rework. Depending how this project is progressing, i will expose how it will work asap to -i hope- reassure you all.

In a shorter term we are gonna open 3 pairings, spliting campain on 3 different battlegrounds at the same time.

Now about the Zerg/Blob in general. The biggest issue with this isn't the Doomsday event but sadly the RvR mecanic itself.

I explain.

Consider we have 5 different objectives in the lake (4 BOs, 1 Keep). When a BO is locked, consider it disappear for some time. Same for a keep. The more BOs are locked, the less you have objectives (options), the more it generates zergling and blob around remaining options. When all is locked, keep lost, the number of options fall to 0 ----> WC fight/blob.

It's that simple, and as old as Warhammer Online itself. The T2 experimentation reveal it clearly. Now take a look in Nordland pre and post rework. See the difference? :). Where is the blob between warcamps now :)?

There are 2 parts in current RVR system that piss me off.
Debolstering! Oh! It is like taxes in Switzerland.
Crowds everywhere!
It was so good that players stopped playing and EA closed it. So not good enough.

There is no debolster?

And I'm sorry that you cannot find perfect 1v1 action in RvR game when people are indeed playing the game.
I have been playing WAR till last day. Mostly T1 for several last months to be honest, but it was good anyway.
I just wish to have opportunity to play it in different ways - zerging in T4 or calm and more soloing in T2-3.
You have been playing T1 for the past several months?! Holy s*** man, I'd die of boredom and lack of complexity. I respect you.
It's a group based game, sorry at being another one to say it.

I'm not trying to kick off anyone. If you're not aware, the devs made it pretty clear this is their server, and they do what they want. They will simply not cater to soloers, so you can forget about it and stop wasting everyones time. If you want small scale you have scenarios. Also, in two weeks more zones will be open, so I'm sure you will have plenty of time to play solo, especially during low pop hours.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of the zergfest and lagfest, so I'm waiting for multiple zones as well.

It's not exactly that we don't catter to soloers, it's that you have to accept that this game is RvR and not solo or just PvP. Multiple zones might generate more oportunities for solo players, but this might come with other issues (PvDoor and PvE are just 2 major ones).

Is there even lagfest? People bring it back a lot, but I experienced like 2 or 3 spikes the whole time event is going on... I tend to think this is unfortunatelly client side issue in most case for ppl in Europe. For other regions it's hard to say, but there are some stuff members from there, so we will just verify.

I've not seen a single ping based spikes during that event, so it must be fps performance for most.

My lag is actually relatively bad. I have no idea what's the reason. My laptop is quite high end so it can't be the graphics (even though I'm actually running low settings cuz it would be even worse). I lag at those zerg on zerg fights, and when I'm loading people in. I guess you could call it a 6th sense for zerg detection ;) It was the same lag I (we) had untill you fixed the guilds, so maybe it could be related to that somehow. It's not when we kill people, but when I die. Doing /rel helps for a bit, but it comes back. Yesterday I was lagging almost the entire time we were in t3 empire.

Perhaps it could be me, but as I said I have a decent laptop. I can run battlefield 4 on high settings, and this game is from 2008 :/

Even though you might've "higher then regular" performanced laptop is still might not be enough. War pressures CPU not GPU the most.

I had the same problems on my old laptop. When I finally returned to high end desktop with overclocked CPU everything chilled down and I'm running smoothly even during biggest zerg fights.
One thing remains unchanged, to do /rel from time to time (I have no idea what affects it).

It's probably the processor, although I have an i7. I will try the RAM increase and see how it goes.

For the lag, I was wrong the other night must have had something weird turned on because when I do my WB/Keep switch (particles and what not self only and shadows down) there is no visual lag. However, as a NA player in high traffic zones (i.e. this entire event except super late NA) the desync with the server and other players positionally is super noticeable and becomes bit more of a usually small problem which in turn just encourages a more bomb-centric playstyle (which is proper for the current zergfests).
