Correct me if I am wrong please but the thing is your argument is already failed because the game allows players to create character on both sides no ? I dont have the data but I bet most of the players have characters on both sides, we already fight/fought/still fighting for both sides, faction loyalty is already almost non-existent.Nekkma wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 7:36 amWhy do you die on the hill to play said 20 year old game? Its 2026 people wanna log in and play theres enough lore accurate faction war in rvr, it wont hurt to deviate a lil bit to make the gameplay, and specially the fun aspect of a game, better
And it is not just rp and lore. This is a wargame between two factions. The entire game is centered on this war. Mixed factions deviate from the games core concept of war between non mirrored factions.

Even if I agree that your counterpoint is relevant, and I do not, it is factually wrong. The original game did not allow this. This is a change on this server and was excplicitly forbidden on live servers. Just because there are a bunch of bad changes on this server previously (note that I do not think cross realming is one of them) it does not mean that you cannot argue against bad changes in the future.agemennon675 wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 8:17 amCorrect me if I am wrong please but the thing is your argument is already failed because the game allows players to create character on both sides no ? Regardless, I did not intend to argue but only to point out that mixed realms is not just "just an rp issue" but rather a core feature of the game. Mixed factions in swtor was ok because favtions are just different skins. I still did not like it becuse of something similar to "lore reasons". In warhammer with non mirrorered classes and factions it would be game breaking for because of that game design.

In Tier 2-3 this new approach has ruined the scenarios, the waiting times are around 45-50 minis a pop, that makes pvp levelling awful. Please, remove this from midtiers, and apply only from 1-15 and in 40.

Re: New Scenario Matchmaker Test 27/01/2026
Kinda agree with the posts above. T2/3 needs SCs for a smooth leveling process, having 30 mn + queues will make lvling very bothersome. After the removal of skavens camps in RVR which provided a good way to level up alts, SCs are the only source of good XP in lower tiers. When I level up alts, I want them up to 40 fast so that they have access to their full skill / morales / tactics kit, I don't care about the whole "farm RR before 40" bullshit because I don't mind doing PvE and gearing up a lvl 40 character through dungeons is very time efficient. Forcing people into RvR for XP is the best way to prevent new players from staying past T1 because the process is very long and excruciating, especially since low lvl players have only access to some PU warbands who barely get any kills and are just RR for the meatgrinder.

The leveling experience between 16-40 being garbage, especially for new players.
A core feature of the game is basically unplayable in the mid-tier unless you sit in LFG and spam to put together a premade. Which, let’s be clear: sucks. Then 9/10 times your premade ends up rolling against pugs on the other faction, which, again, sucks.
As a new player, you play 1-16 and it feels like a living, breathing game where things happen. SCs pop, people PVP, and the gameplay loop isn’t “grind fortress doors for spikier armor” yet. Then you level out and discover that 85% of the people you’re playing with are leveling their 7th alt before going on another 4-month break from the game. And the two or three other actual new players quit after a few days of struggling.
The game needs a new activity, or to make existing ones actually work, to have any chance of surviving.
But no, for sure, I can totally see how a Sham healing a WL is worse than people choosing not to play.
Re: New Scenario Matchmaker Test 27/01/2026
Scenarios was fun on this server before with similar pop. The reason scenarios are terrible are mainly related to gameplay changes and not some mythical fix of mixing realms. Scenarios used to work perfecly fine with separate realms -> bunch of bad changes -> scenarios are now terrible -> instead of fixing the bad things lets double down on destroying the main feature of the game (hint, the "r" in rvr stands for "realm"). Such a fantastic solution!BulgomOGC wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 1:33 pmYou know what else is game breaking?Even if I agree that your counterpoint is relevant, and I do not, it is factually wrong. Re: New Scenario Matchmaker Test 27/01/2026
I have created this account 10 years ago if I remember correctly in 2016 and playing scenarios solo was always a miserable experience from the moment I started until this rework, scenarios never worked perfectly, there were attempts to fix scenario matchmaker before and those changes had to be reverted because population was too low and players had to make a tough decision to be able to at least play the game in an unfair unbalanced environment instead of waiting 1.30 hours in queue, that is why we are advocating for cross realm matchmaking, to make scenarios pop faster, more balanced and enjoyable for everyone. You can already see the feedback from tier 2-3 scenarios when population is low there compared to tier4 any kind of matchmaking process takes ages it cannot create balanced setups because there is no one in queue. This could also happen when population is lower in t4. Cross realm matchmaking can remedy that problem a little bit. Anyway at the end of the day we are just giving feedback its for others to decide what to do, so many people already invested so much time developing this. Many thanks for their efforts, they really made this game better.Nekkma wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 2:00 pmScenarios was fun on this server before with similar pop. Long que times was a given with this change. It is not a bug but a feature of having matchmaking. You are arguing to make scenarios more enjoyable for you, not for all. Cross realm make scenarios worse for me for example. I dont like long ques either and would prefer to not even have a matchmaker. Lack of matchmaking never was the main issue. It is a band aid that was tried before and then failed just because ques became atrocious. Hopefully the new system will work better but that ques will be longer is unavoidable.agemennon675 wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 2:09 pm

Re: New Scenario Matchmaker Test 27/01/2026
I definitely do not want to see cross faction scenarios.
It would make me a bit sad to think that we gave up the spirit of the game to cater to keeping premades (the only real scenario problem) with this rework, when we could have kept same faction and just done something simple like separate queues for solo and premade.
I would agree with keeping the changes out of T3 but then again, I have started to see those infested with premades too. Hard to get xp when you lose every match for 2 hours straight.
