Re: [Pending Update] Current State of Classes and Abilities

I said that a few pages back and was told i was wrong

At max mechanic sorc/bw would kill themselves with 3 or 4 explosions. Now they sit at full and spam broken aoe without issue. The explosions scaled more as mechanic increased. So the increase was much more at higher mechanic. This made wounds a better choice for solo bw/sorc than glass cannon. Like I said a few weeks back it hit HARD at full mechanic and without focus heals you couldnt just pew pew away like with the small amount youre hit for now.

WSCT will contract any damage from an ability with a 1 word name which begins with E to (E). Got a text source for this stating explicitly that Backlash damage, not Backlash chance is modified by something other than Career Rank (and Renown Rank in 1.4.9)?

I am extremely wary of anyone trying to get a buff to the best mechanic in the game.

Its not a buff. Its the damage done to the bw/sorc when they proc self damage backlash.
Its funny the bw/sorc community has been quite over this when its easy to tell its not hitting for enough at high mechanic.
A pew pew happy bw used to be much more of a headache to heal than they currently are. A hot will do it.

Yes, I know of what you're talking about, but by the sound of things, 25% damage to self on a backlash proc (regardless of when it happens) is being opposed to and the BW/Sorc players want the damage to be reduced when they have lower Combustion. I read that as a buff.

bw/sorc arent a threat at low combustion. Its when they are spamming their aoe at full combustion that they melt themselves and others. Now its just others.

Sure. But a trivial buff is still a buff, right? I can take it that you're not disputing that this is what they're after?

no problem all can made mistake i'm no offended at all, still in t1 an hold the line should remove all your ap and shouldn't last 12 seconds, the link refered to renow and only indirectly to ap, it is possible that ap get increase by other ways, i still see 250 ap like too much for t1, it's not a big deal, just i want to tell you.
Just i saw today that i can use mutliple hold the line and i fell like it was too much so i checked the ap.

A buff at low combustion. At high combustion it did hit harder though. So they have an easier time sitting at max mechanic.

well i have to agree to telen somehow. it rly is problematic at the moment and a small buff (lower self damage) on low combustion is not that big of a deal tbh. but it will make quite an (healthy!) impact if the damage at max combustion scales a bit harder.
25% (or was it just 20% right now?) for low combustion is pretty much overkill, but is far too less for 100 points.
a thing to be aware here is maybe how to handle the %value of the damage, which should be bount to base-hp without modified wounds perhaps? since some people claim that stacking wounds didnt raise the damage of the explosion?
so like 0-25 combustion = 10% dmg, 30-50 = 15%, 55-75 = 25% 80-100 = 40% (%values of base hp though!) .. i'm just throwing in some values here not knowing the live values, but the current system is quite a bit frustrating to play against..

Yes the damage was a flat amount based on level and combustion. Wounds did not affect it.
