Are you seriously arguing that aoe detaunt is useless? :P

it dosent stack with guard, if a tank will guard you why use detaunt?

yes situation will arrise but logic is logic guard dont stack so when you are guard = play with 1 less tactic.

Because the tank will take no damage from targets you detaunted and you can better focus on looking after yourself?

Not to mention if the tank is cc'ed or something.

You also give the tank the option of swaping away from you if the need arises.

If the issue is you can't heal because you cant dps a target because you are CC'd, then wouldn't a viable solution be to use your casted heals while no targets were available to dps? You do not now because the main method of regaining essence is when the DoK actually DPSes (spending AP to regain Essence) as well as your casted heals are -20% (-40% if using both MI and DF) output and weak AF plus you run out of essence. Would it not make sense to remove the -20% healing to "ALL" heals from the main DPS DoK Tactic and change it to -20% to Self so that your casted heals were viable? NO, I would play a cast healer then.

And to the person that thinks dok dps heals are better than a WP. WP has far better dps heals. They have sigmars shield, which can be up for the entire time.

And before someone says they will run out of essence...they have an ability to get essence off hits, and they can run the tactic that gives them essence every time they are hit. doks are more set up for dps, where a WP is more set up for survivability/dps heals. I am fine with that for it gives the game variety, but both can be boosted my a small cc break/immunity.

And I’m not trying to disagree about the issue, but out to solve it. People play dps heals to be a dps healer not a caster. Trying to make it a caster/dps will just gimp it or make the situation too complex. There is a simple solution which I already explained.

Additionally you are all making a big deal out of it...BOs have a similar ability for the whole group and I don’t see anyone complaining. So why are you all complaining when it’s proposed as a single target cc break/immunity

Maybe because they've been active on the balance forums and they know this suggestion isn't going anywhere.
